About this deal

I also think part of it for me was that I don't like Malone that much. I adore Aurora and I have loved her in every previous book and all of her scenes with other characters in the series, but not with Malone. I can't figure out if it is just that Malone is not my kind of Domme. I don't like her style of mastery the way I do with others in the series. I know Aurora is a brat and Malone is the perfect match for her, but not for me. I didn’t fully buy Aurora’s reason for revenge she wasn’t close to her mother and she was actually raised by her grandmother. I get that her mother being in a coma would not feel great but to escalate that to revenge? Not really. and I couldn’t understand how on earth she would not have known what her mother was really like all this time. And that’s after trying to buy into the idea that they would have kept her mother on life support for 20 years…that is very not normal and should not have happened. Aurora was also quite different in characterization here compared to previously in the series. She's not sunshiney at all here and Malone makes it sound like she wants the real Aurora and that the sunshine was just a facade but I'm not sure. People can be more than they appear, yes, but I didn't see the arc or growth to prove that was the case. Again, I might be burnt out on this series, but I don't think I am, at all. I will ALWAYS take more Beast/Gaeton. I love anything involving Hercules, Hook, Hades, to a lesser extent Meg and Tink, and I'd not turn up my nose at Jasmine and Jafar, I guess I just feel like these last two stories should have been the culmination of and even better than the preceding ones and that has not been the case at all. But aside from that, it was fun to watch Malone and Aurora go from being at each other’s throats to going at it. Malone is an impressive Domme and I loved seeing how she planned their scenes and gave Aurora what she needed. They’ll make a great team and I can see Aurora being a great asset for Malone as she gets a chance to see what else she can do, beyond being a Club submissive.

They always make a timeline of how long they have to be with the person and then they fall in love in 3 days like why all these extra steps? Aurora takes a 2 week deal with Malone so she can kill her in the timeframe and obviously that isn't what happens so why are we pretending? What is the point of the plot in any of these books when it's literally all the same oh my god. This was such a good sapphic romance! I went into this thinking the plot of this book was going to be something completely different to what it actually turned out to be! And I was pleasantly surprised, i thorough enjoyed the twists and turns that ran throughout. Whilst also watching this beautiful love story of enemies realising their feelings for each other! I adore these two with my entire heart!

Frequently Asked Questions About Queen Takes Rose

It is still a very sexy book, the scenes are creative and fun and it is still better than a lot of books you are ever going to read in this style. For nine years, Aurora has been a popular submissive at the Underground. After accepting a deal with Hades many years ago, her contract is about to expire, but she accepts a two-week assignation while still under his protection. During this time, Aurora will have to combat her longstanding feelings toward Malone who is known to be a cold and calculating territory leader in Carver City.

Soooo.... this one wasn't my favorite. And man, I hate saying that. Its still a Katee Robert, and its still better than most, but it didn't blow my mind the way past entries in the series. Maybe its just because this one has been being built up to for so long, or that I don't want the series to be over. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I just wasn't vibing with it. CW: death of mother, mother taken off of life support after 20 years in a coma, grief, gendered insult, alcohol, family planning discussion, past maternal abandonment (Aurora was raised by her grandmother) But aside from that, it was fun to watch Malone and Aurora go from being at each other’s throats to going at it. Malone is an impressive Domme and I loved seeing how she planned their scenes and gave Aurora what she needed. They’ll make a great team and I can see Aurora being a great asset for Malone as she gets a chance to see what else she can do, beyond being a Club submissive. They felt the least romantic to me too (if you can call anything the characters in this entire series have done romantic) which bummed me out because finally there is a f/f pairing that isn't just from an orgy. Glad to see everyone ever is polyamorous and pansexual though. Disneyland be hitting different.Okay, other than the fact that I'm objectifying and sexualizing these characters. I can't help it, I'm sorry 🤷 She’s been wearing a mask since she started working at the Underworld, and I want to know what lies beneath it.” This is the romance between Malone and Aurora, who are representations of Maleficent and Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Aurora has made this deal with Malone where she stays with her for two weeks and does everything Malone tells her to do. Malone is just looking for two weeks of a good time and fun, but Aurora has a goal in mind for these two weeks. She plans to enact her revenge. She plans on killing Malone.

I just wish both of them had more dimension than they did. This story has been teased through FIVE OTHER STORIES! It should have been epic. But they were both forgettable characters. The evolution of the love story was great and the smut was good but none of it was earth shattering. Then you have Malone, who has always come across as being a bit of a mystery. Learning about her and where she comes from, whilst also seeing her open up and fall in love was beautiful! A great end to the series! Malone and Aurora have had some enmity between them all this time and I was so ready to learn more and see how they’d go from enemies to lovers. Except…this is one-sided enemies to lovers, as Malone doesn’t hate Aurora. She just doesn’t want to be distracted by her and thinks a two week assignation will give them a chance to work out their chemistry and then move on. LOL. Meanwhile, Aurora thinks this will be her big chance at revenge and decides she’s finally going to kill Malone. The honest truth is that I desire Malone with a fervor I’ve never felt before. She’s a fire in my blood, and I used to be able to convince myself that it’s purely rage, but now I have to admit that it’s more nuanced than that. I hate her. I want her. A small, unforgivable part of me even admires her for the sheer strength and ruthlessness she exhibits. I dreaded reading this because I have been so frustrated with the world building and repetition in this series. This last sapphic installment was exactly what this series needed, and I was pleasantly surprised!

At this rate, the entire two weeks won’t end in my revenge being enacted; they’ll end with Malone taking my future the same way she took my past. This the last book in this series but this isn't really a series that needs a big conclusion. There is also a short story collection that I'm going to read but that's super short and those stories didn't come out all at once or anything. This last book was fine and I liked that we got a FF romance finally but there wasn't really enough tension for me. I liked both Malone and Aurora with how they were not exactly who they portrayed themselves to be. But I didn’t feel a deeper connection for me to care enough for them. I was also hoping for more eroticism which was tame in this one.I loved both of the characters and I really felt like I could be either of them. All of the sex scenes were great, and the romance is so vivid, I never doubted the authenticity of it. I liked the plot, and while I was confused a little since I have not read the Sabine Valley books yet, I felt like the stakes were high in a perfect way.
