For now I decided to somehow push through this and bear the discomfort in the name of the mic sound quality mentioned above. But, it definitely makes me not listen to music in between calls and to put the headphones down whenever I can to get some temporary relief for my ears to survive the day. There is a soft silicon cushion on the top of the headband that makes the headset's weight feel light and comfortable. Two speakers rest on top of the ear whereas other comparable models have oversized ear cups that fully enclose the ears which typically will produce a bit better sound quality but you sacrifice comfort.
