About this deal

Overall, these are all decent values and they did a pretty good job of keeping the total MSRP all very similar. While the Space Marines have the most value in terms of dollars, it’s not by an insane amount. Whether you play the armies already or not they come with a decent chunk of units to get somebody started off on the right foot or add to your forces. First up are the vampires of the Soulblight Gravelords, who lead a dolorous horde of brainless thralls in a bumper box that contains 66 miniatures. Hordes of Deadwalker Zombies are particularly useful for pinning down enemy forces while the Vengorian Lord and their Blood Knights swoop in for the jugular. If you like High Elves, look no further than the Lumineth Realm-Lords, as they are essentially the spiritual evolution of what we all think of when we hear “High Elves”. With our annual New Year, New Army challenge* creeping closer, it’s a phenomenal opportunity to lay the groundwork on your next hobby project. And since these battleforces will be arriving in December, they’re perfect candidates for any Warhammer+ vouchers you’ve been earning this month . A lot of hobbyists love the savings that come inside the ten or so GW Christmas Battleforces for Warhammer each year. It’s normally an even better way to get started on a new army or project that may interest you, and save a lot of cash in the process.

The highest savings last year came from the Necrons Battleforce with the Imperial Guard box just behind. Overall, they did Christmas Battleforces for a bunch of all fairly popular armies in 40k and AoS. They also came with a decent chunk of units to get somebody started off on the right foot. Including a whole carnival of weird and wonderful technological enhancements, this immensely customisable box can be built in so many different ways that it would be almost impossible to list them all. Including some trusty Skitarii infantry led by a Tech-Priest Manipulus, there are four units with two build options each – Sicarians, Serberys cavalry, Ptreraxii jump infantry, and a choice of either an Ironstrider Ballistarius or a Sydonian Dragoon. The possibilities are endless. The fierce eyes of a Sister Dogmata command this force, which is composed of five Celestian Sacrosancts, 10 Battle Sisters, an Immolator armed transport, and a mighty Exorcist tank. Adeptus Mechanicus Savings wise, we’re once again looking at last year where we had anything from 25% – 37% in savings for these boxes versus buying the units individually at retail. That’s Nothing to sniff at! Zero offering bundle offerings like this is why we advise voting with your hobby dollars when it comes to companies like Games Workshop who seem to try ‘questionable’ releases like this from time to time. Games Workshops 2021 Christmas Battleforces AnnouncementsA Psychomancer cryptek leads the force, with a unit of 10 Necron Warriors and three Scarab Swarms making up the durable centre. The real killing work falls to a Lokhust Heavy Destroyer, three Ophydian Destroyers, five Flayed Ones, and two huge Canoptek Doomstalkers. Decorate your hearth with bolter, melta, and flamer, for this box has ‘em all and more. Along with a Sister Dogmata and a squad each of Battle Sisters and Celestian Sacresants, this force also includes two giant tanks that will definitely add a little spice to your holiday carnage.

This box includes a host of Plague Marines and Deathshroud Bodyguard, accompanied by daemon-touched war machines – three Myphitic Blight-haulers and a Plagueburst Crawler – all able to withstand a huge amount of punishment before crashing into the enemy lines in an inexorable wave of stench and decay. Not a bad starter force or an addition to an existing one. Standard Sisters and Sacresants, but the draw here are the 2 tanks. The Immolator is cool but nothing beats what GW have described as a “long-range, missile-launching pipe organ cum-temple” no, Seriously, they did. (cue childing giggling) The Revenant Legion is a party in a box with 66 models including a bestial Vengorian Lord, five barded Blood Knights, 20 Deathrattle Skeleton warriors and, count ‘em, 40 Deadwalker Zombies. Hedonites of Slaanesh While a box full of simple marines might not be exciting, it’s certainly viable as you’ll need a ton of marines to fill out a full list anyways! The Plaguefester Warband is the definitive image of an unstoppable Death Guard army, with a Champion and Icon Bearer leading seven Plague Marines and three Deathshroud Terminators. Three Myphitic Blight-haulers and a Plagueburst Crawler cover their march.Field the might of the Emperor’s chosen champions and overwhelm your opponent with sheer force. This box contains a Storm Speeder and 29 Primaris Space Marines, with a Captain, Bladeguard Veterans, and a ton of Intercessors – including regular, Heavy, and Assault varieties! Death Guard Battleforce: Plaguefester Warband As of right now, no additional information is available for these. The could still be MTO, web-only, etc. They did say there would be savings so at least we know these will have an inherent value which is already important. Overall, these are all decent values and they did a pretty good job of keeping the total MSRP all very similar. While Lumineth has the most value in terms of dollars, it’s not by an insane amount. Whether you play the armies already or not they come with a decent chunk of units to get somebody started off on the right foot or add to your forces.
