Other than the Orient Multi Year Calendar released in 1976, the 70s and 80s were rather unremarkable for the brand. It wasn’t until 1991 that Orient produced another innovative design: The Orient Mon Bijou.
To this day, Orient remains a subsidiary of Seiko Epson. Although they have been a subsidiary for the last 2 decades, it hasn’t deterred them from making their own statement pieces and retaining their own identity. The Orient Star collection has put forth some impressive features such as higher power reserve, power indicators, and advanced watch mechanisms. A skeleton dial and Bauhaus design don’t seem to go together, but the collection makes it work.
