Master Combatant: Optimus is a master hand-to-hand combatant, having extensive levels of knowledge of melee combat as well as being extremely experienced in combat operations. In an early version of the fight between Nemesis Prime and Bumblebee, a canister filled with normal Energon (much like the jars Izabella used on the TRF Sentinels) could have been tossed onto Nemesis Prime to release him from Quintessa's control. [8] The idea was scrapped, leaving the red markings as some kind of "paint" and Bumblebee's voice used as the device to restore Optimus Prime. As he left the planet, Optimus sent a message to the creators: leave Earth alone, because he was coming for them. Optimus Prime (sometimes Nemesis Prime), is the leader of the Autobots. However, as more Decepticons under Starscream's command began appearing on Earth, Prime had to use the AllSpark power within him to alter his body into a new sensor-transparent, super-silent form for stealth missions. Prime considered it dishonorable but knew had to be done. Unfortunately, Starscream followed his lead and also modified himself for stealth so he could target Prime personally.Optimus Prime used two swords from both his arms to fight Grindor, Starscream, and Megatron in the forest. Unfortunately for Optimus, Megatron had his own sword, impaling the Autobot leader. After his resurrection, Optimus returned the favor by breaking Megatron's sword with his bare hands, then slicing off his arm with his remaining sword. Revenge of the Fallen On July 6, 2009, Optimus appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman to declare the "Top Ten Things That Sound Cool When Said By A Giant Robot". Optimus said it was nice to be there, although David was clearly concerned with having a 28-foot tall robot in the studio because of a bad history of robots messing up the place, and during the presentation Letterman decided there was something about Prime he didn't like. Anyway, the top ten was: Right Mouse Button: After a brief period of building up power, Optimus charges at the opponent, delivering multiple swift blows to his target.
After releasing the Dinobots from his command, Optimus prepared to depart into space, to both remove the seed from Earth, and to investigate the mystery of his creators, who still had a price on his head. At BotCon 2010, Fun Publications said that Hasbro had, in effect, taken custody of the character of Nexus Prime due to their plans for the Thirteen. Because of this, Fun Pub was unable to directly continue the story of Nexus Prime for a long time, only able to make small nods in magazine issues #48 and #54 before somewhat abruptly resolving the quest in 2015 in issue #65. His ladder can be detached, as can his arms. Oddly enough, the ladder can connect to his shoulder joint, but only on the detached arms. This is very bizarre, as his arm and ladder don't do anything when connected. He also has some strange ports around his body that seem to do nothing.Upon being reactivated in the Ark, Optimus Prime unsheathed his energon-axe to duel Megatron only for his enemy to call a retreat. Enemy of My Enemy Part Two With a length of 124 cm., this sword stands out for its imposing presence. Its steel blade gives it an authentic and resistant appearance, ideal for displaying it in your bedroom or living room. With the death of Megatron and the destruction of the AllSpark, Optimus and his Autobots spent the next two years on Earth, helping N.E.S.T. hunt the remaining Decepticons on Earth. After locating and defeating Demolishor and Sideways in Shanghai, Optimus and the Autobots received a message from Demolishor that " The Fallen would rise again."
Vector Prime had his sword Rhisling, most famously used by Optimus Prime to kill Galvatron, Unfinished and Snarl's tail acted as a combination of sword and rifle in robot mode. The First Edition Optimus Prime also comes with the Sword of Judgement accessory, molded in clear colors with paint applications on the hilt. Even though Prime said he wants to find a peaceful resolution to the war, he declines Megatron's truce (though it is not very sincere) and brutally decapitates him. Galvatron had survived the confrontation and began draining power from Fortress Maximus. When Omega Prime confronted him, he responded by using cyber-bats to enslave and threaten the world's children. Prime was forced to call a retreat through the space bridge, which gave Galvatron the opportunity to trap them there and flood the tunnel with lava. As Optimus was overcome by the lava, Koji's words inspired him to escape and confront Galvatron once more. Galvatron's Revenge Fans in Japan joke that Optimus Prime is an Autobot Emperor of Destruction rather than an Autobot Supreme Commander, due to his actions in the Car Robots anime. He has appeared in all of Michael Bay's Transformers films as well as the reboot Bumblebee film, albeit he is completely redesigned in appearance. He was more of his G1 counterpart, his vehicle mode being a Freightliner fl86, equipped with his signature ion blaster. Though it may be the only weapon we see in the movie, he does have many more. Next to his Energon swords and Ion blasters, he has also two hooks, similar to those used by paratroopers, which he uses to rip open Grindor's head. His name was on a list of Convoy members given by Cheetor to Andromeda. The list noted that he was also known by the moniker Ignition Prime and hailed from universal stream Viron 903.0 Beta. The creature, calling himself Nemesis Prime, was seemingly defeated by Megatron when he fired the Requiem Blaster and blew the clone to pieces. However, the pieces reconnected with each other and Nemesis Prime formed the powerful Vorpal Saber as an extension of his own flexible, warping body. The Vorpal Saber disintegrated when the Mini-Cons arrived to save the other Transformers. Puppet In the novelization, Megatron is much more serious about it and lays down his weapons. In return, Optimus spares him. Holographic Projection: Optimus displayed the war on Cybertron to Sam and Mikaela using a hologram. ripped off Megatron's head and spine, killing him. Sentinel then tried to explain to Optimus why he betrayed him, but Optimus coldly told Sentinel he betrayed himself before executing him with Megatron's fusion cannon. For this incarnation of Optimus, voice actor Neil Kaplan specifically impersonated the voice of the original Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen. Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime is one of the few major Optimuses ( four as of 2021) whose English voice actor isn't Cullen or Garry Chalk. At conventions, Kaplan refers to himself as "the George Lazenby of Optimus Primes". [3]
