About this deal

Since apple cider vinegar is good for rebalancing and strengthening the hair, I recommend this shampoo for anyone with greasy hair that has become brittle. If you have dry hair and are starting the Curly Girl Method, this also might be a good shampoo for your final wash.

As well as Kukui oil, this shampo contains rosemary leaf extract. Rosemary has been shown in clinical trials to help stimulate hair growth and reduce hair loss. One study from 2015 showed that rosemary leaf extract was just as effective as Minoxidil for treating hair loss, and even more effective at soothing an itchy scalp. The photograph below shows what the OGX Kukui Oil shampoo and conditioner look like when they come out of the bottle. Key Ingredients There are some caveats to using Sunday Shampoo, though. Due to its clarifying properties, it’s likely to dry out and strip your hair if you use it for every wash, and the same goes for those who don’t have much product buildup to begin with. Thankfully that makes the high price point a little more worth it! The photograph below shows what the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo and conditioner look like when they come out of the bottle. Key Ingredients The OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo is a clarifying shampoo designed for greasy hair. Since I have dry hair I was worried that this product might make my hair dryer, but I found it was actually quite moisturising.

The first thing I noticed was the cooling sensation on my scalp when I applied the Tea Tree Mint shampoo and conditioner. It’s great on a hot day or if you need to unwind. Even when I got out of the shower my scalp felt tingly and refreshed. Although it’s small, the St Clements bar lasts a surprisingly long time (around the same as three liquid bottles of shampoo), which makes it a great eco-friendly alternative to plastic bottles. As with other shampoo bars, the best way to ensure it lasts a long time is to dry it out thoroughly between washes. Cut out conditioner for some of your washes, and only apply it to the tips of your hair when you do use it. Only use a small amount of shampoo – the size of a 10p piece is sufficient. Try washing with a combination of apple cider vinegar and water for a DIY clarifying solution. Wash your hairbrush often, and wear a headband or scarf for particularly greasy days! Both the shampoo and conditioner have a really nice apple scent. I found that the scent also lasts on your hair after you rinse the product out. I recommend the OGX Tea Tree Mint Shampoo as the best shampoo for reducing hair loss and promoting growth since peppermint oil has been proven in clinical trials to increase hair growth.

Another plus point is L’Oréal’s recent switch to recyclable shampoo bottles, and its continued promise to focus on sustainability changes where possible with its products. The shampoo left my hair scented of mint and did a good job at reducing frizz and adding moisture. For a sulfate free shampoo I was also impressed at how well it lathered! Although I couldn’t find any scientific studies which showed that apple cider vinegar strengthened the the hair, I did find a study showing that shampoos with a lower pH level (like an apple cider vinegar shampoo) generate less negative static electricity on the hair. This means less frizz and dryness. ProsIf your hair gets greasy by the time you go to bed, you’re not alone. It’s common and totally natural to have a visible buildup of oil within a single day – although that doesn’t stop it being frustrating. Finding the right shampoo for your hair type can be a game changer, adding another wash-free day to your shampooing cycle, but it’s just as important to understand exactly what’s adding to the grease. Apple cider vinegar has long been a favorite in the beauty space. Proponents say the all-natural ingredient can do everything from deep-clean your hair to balance the pH of your scalp, especially when used as a shampoo. "Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial and antifungal properties," Dr. Hadley King, M.D., a New York City-based dermatologist, says, adding that these properties may be helpful if you're dealing with acne or trying to get rid of dandruff, respectively. Plus, since apple cider vinegar boasts an acidic pH, it may be able to gently exfoliate your scalp. (Just remember that because it's acidic, it can also dry out your hair or irritate your scalp if overused, Dr. King says.)I don't think there is a haircare brand on earth that seems to have as many collections as OGX. The brand seems to have, at one stage, included every technology, every scent, and every superfood imaginable in its haircare products and I'm here for it. The latest interesting ingredient to carry a OGX collection is apple cider vinegar.
