About this deal

Charlotte is delighted to be working again with Ian Talbot, Josh Andrews and Peter James on the World Premier of Not Dead Enough. She was in last years cast of Peter James’ The Perfect Murder and is thrilled to be touring with this new play. Other theatre credits include Doctor in the House (UK No. 1 tour); More Dead Girls (Theatre 503) and Ray Cooney’s farce, Caught in the Net (English Theatre of Hamburg). Charlotte has performed as an actor in two operas: Strauss’ Intermezzo (Garsington Opera House) and most notably Handel’s Rinaldo in 2011 and 2013 (Glyndebourne Opera House, UK tour and Royal Albert Hall proms). wonderful novels. John Simm has brilliantly brought the much-loved Detective Superintendent Roy Grace to Kur lai sāk? "Nāvējoši dzīvs" ir 3. grāmata Roy Grace serijā - tas ir detektīva vārds, ja kādu interesē. Spriežot pēc šī parauga, 2 pirmās daļas netaisos lasīt, un tagad vēl domāju, ko darīt ar 4. grāmatu, kas man plauktā stāv.... Grace’s investigation and his budding new relationship are derailed after a reported sighting of his wife, Sandy, who has been missing for nine years. Grace desperately tries to cast light on the truth in both cases as his emotional turmoil – and the body count – grows.

On the night Brian Bishop murdered his wife, he was sixty miles away, asleep in bed. At least that’s what he claims. But as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace continues to deal with the mysterious disappearance of his own wife, he starts to dig a little deeper into the chilling murder case and it soon becomes clear that love can be a dangerous thing... When a second young woman is found brutally murdered in her flat in circumstances eerily similar to those of Katie Bishop, Grace is left wondering whether Brian Bishop is something more than a terrific actor, is he a serial killer? It doesn't look good for Bishop - he admits to knowing Sophie Harrington but denies they were anything other than friends. NOT DEAD ENOUGH is an all-nighter of a book – there was no way I was going to bed until I’d finished it! I thought I was one step ahead of the police and kept shouting advice to them as the book progressed. OK, so I wasn’t far off the mark, but James has one good twist up his sleeve. Not Dead Enough starts off creepy, with a man following Katie Bishop as she drives home one night. You know it’s not going to end well. It doesn’t and she is found dead in her house the next day. All signs point to her husband, Brian Bishop, but as Roy Grace does some digging, things aren’t how they appear.

Detective Superintendent Roy Grace thinks he's found a serial killer, but not everything is as it seems in Not Dead Enough, by award winning crime author Peter James. Shane with Jessie will star in a new BBC1 six-part drama series on screen early 2017 titled “Redwater” On the night Brian Bishop murdered his wife, he was sixty miles away, asleep in bed. At least that’s what he claims. But as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace continues to deal with the mysterious disappearance of his own wife, he starts to dig a little deeper into the chilling murder case and it soon becomes clear that love can be a dangerous thing. Peter James comes through again. If you are looking for a good crime\mystery\thriller series to read, then James has written it with his Roy Grace series.

In 2008, Paul was joined by General Manager Jamie Clark, formerly Head of Touring for Bill Kenwright Ltd, to head a new division to expand the company into Producing and General Management. The hit drama follows Brighton-based Detective Superintendent Roy Grace in a series of stories adapted from bestselling author Peter James’ award winning novels. Laura Whitmore began her acting career at a young age with the Leinster School of Music and Drama in Dublin. She completed her Diploma in Performance at the School in 2008 with a special honour for her final performance, the same year she was chosen as the new face of MTV Europe. She won several awards previously for her acting whilst studying for her B.A. in Journalism, including the DCU Annual Drama Award for Best Actress for her performance as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Best Comedic Performance for her performance as Maud in The Extraordinary Life and Death of Adam Ryan. Other theatre credits include Annie in All My Sons and Helene in Sweet Charity. Another thing the author does so well in Not Dead Enough (and the other books in the series so far) is to strategically provide the reader with information about the motivations of multiple characters (even the perpetrator!) This works frighteningly well when the characters we care about are placed in imminent danger and the suspense ratchets up to pulse-pounding levels. (Happily this time the source of suspense is entirely sourced not in the mortal danger to our main character. Overuse of this plot device is an annoying pet peeve of mine; far too many authors use it too often as a cheap means to engage readers in the story.) NOT DEAD ENOUGH is the third in the series to feature the Brighton cop, and it’s a fabulous read. Peter James is a natural storyteller who keeps the action pounding along at a good pace, but never overlooks characterisation. And he has plenty of cameo roles to keep us entertained. Bill is probably best known for his work on two of the UK’s leading Soaps. He recently finished 3 years on Emmerdale, playing the well meaning but pretty hopeless farmer James Barton (Ross, Pete and Finn’s Dad) for over 300 episodes. Previously, he played the really rather nasty builder Charlie Stubbs in Coronation Street, also for 3 years and 300 episodes, and for which he won a number of awards. Oh Happy Day, Exorcismus, Enemy of England, Roswell Invasion, Still Waters, Lake Placid Vs Anaconda and Where Hands Touch.

Shane studied in Los Angeles with The Maurice Kosloff School of Method Acting and studied ‘Comedy in Film’ with M.K. Lewis. As well as NOT DEAD ENOUGH, Shaun has adapted two other Peter James novels for the stage – THE PERFECT MURDER (2014 and 2016) and DEAD SIMPLE (2015). A fourth is in development. A beautiful socialite is dead. Roy Grace’s leading suspect, her husband, was sixty miles away when she died, but all other evidence points to him. Has someone stolen his identity or is he simply a very clever liar? Together with The Young Vic, Josh also recently co-produced the critically acclaimed, award-winning production of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire. Directed by Benedict Andrews and starring Gillian Anderson, Ben Foster and Vanessa Kirby, the production was a sell-out hit in 2014, was screened live to cinemas around the world by NT Live and will be seen in New York in the Spring of 2016.

Paul and Jamie are delighted to be working with the company for The Perfect Murder once again, as associate producers and tour bookers. A major career turning point came along when the role of loveable rogue Alfie Moon was created especially for Shane in EastEnders. This time out he’s up against a killer who has a nastily imaginative line in presenting the bodies to the police. And when Grace is called in to investigate the death of a pretty young woman-about-town called Katie Bishop, all the evidence points towards her husband Brian being the killer. Only snag is, there’s proof to show he was asleep 60 miles away in London at the time.

In April 2016, they are producing The Buskers Opera by Dougal Irvine at Park Theatre, and they have a number of new musicals in development.

What is next for Grace?

Stephen is best known in the UK as bad boy Greg Kelly in Coronation Street, for which he won the British Soap Award for Villain of the Year, and as Danny Lomax in Hollyoaks.
