About this deal

Make yourchocolate frostingahead of time or save any leftover frosting! Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a month. In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter and 2 cups of sugar until it is smooth and creamy.

Pour into a separate container, then place in the fridge to cool and/or store. When you're ready to use it, heat the caramel in the microwave in short 10 second intervals until it's a more workable consistency. Mix in the cooled, melted milk chocolate on a low speed until the ingredients are fully incorporated and the desired consistency is reached. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent crusting and set aside.Start by preheating the oven and melting together part of the butter and the milky way bars. It is best to use the double boiler method ~ place a glass { this set is my favorite for the kitchen} or metal bowl over the top of a simmering pot of water on the stovetop. The satisfied looks on their faces once they put that first forkful into their mouths will say it all. For this cake, I use a Nordic Ware bundt pan that I bought at Target. I butter the pan, making sure to get every surface covered in a light layer of butter {I use clean fingers to do this part}. Then add a little flour and turn and move the pan around until you get the flour distributed in a light and even layer. You can hold the pan upside down over the sink and tap it all around to remove any excess flour. A deliciously moist cake that uses delicious milky way chocolate bars in the batter and in the frosting! Scrummy! Texture Galaxy: Experience the blissful balance of fluffy cake, creamy frosting, and gooey caramel that’s simply out of this world.

Mix in the butter, cocoa powder, and pinch of salt on a medium speed. Scrape around the side and bottom of the bowl as needed with a rubber spatula. Add in the sifted cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix on low until the ingredients are fully incorporated. Place the egg whites, sugar, and cream of tartar in a heatproof (preferably metal) bowl. Set the bowl over a saucepan filled with an inch or two of simmering water. Make sure the metal bowl does not touch the water!! If it does, it can cook /scramble the egg whites. When it comes to making a delicious Milky Way Cake, the ingredients you use are key to achieving the perfect taste and texture. Here are the ingredients you’ll need and how they contribute to the recipe: Repeat with the remaining cake layers. Smooth any overhanging buttercream around the cake with a large offset spatula. Then freeze the cake for about 10 minutes in the freezer or 30 minutes in the fridge. This will help the buttercream between the cake layers firm up and make the cake easier to frost. Make the fluffy chocolate cake filling last. It's a bit more time-sensitive and it's best to make it right before you assemble the cake. It can sit out at room temperature for about 3 hours, but it begins to lose its shape if it sits longer than that. If you’re looking for a creative way to change this easy chocolate cake recipe up, try the variations below! To make the frosting, combine the sugar and evaporated milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook to the soft boil stage (230-240 degrees F) and then remove the pan from the heat. Add in the chocolate chips and stir until melted. Blend in the marshmallow creme and spread the mixture over the cooled cake.
