About this deal

Gloomspite Gitz Wizardsunder the Bad Moon get +1 to their casting rolls, while all other wizards get -1 Since the release of later editions of Ork codexes, this is no longer the case, and is therefore, considered non-canon. The Gobbapalooza are five wise-grots, each with their own particular powers and features from their fungal follies. The Gobbapalooza includes a Shroomancer, Spiker, Boggleye, Scaremonger and Brewgit. They can be used as individual heroes or as a unit. Just one, and it’s a weird one. Troggherd Heavies has a required Troggboss, one Dankhold Troggoth and no optional units. For this you get the Magnificent ability. This is actually OK, Dankholds are no longer totally embarrassing, and this is an easy battalion to fulfil for a decent reward. Why there is just one core battalion and only for Troggs is another question, but it’s what we’ve got. Grand Strategies

Few creatures are held in such high esteem by grots as the humble squig. They defy reason – orblike bundles of teeth with stomachs that continue to confound top zoologists. How do they eat so much? Where does it all go? How do they bounce so high? Do they have any non-gastric organs at all?For the second time in this series, we’re going green. Last week, along with a handful of other factions, we took a look at how the Orruk Warclans are shaping up for the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, but today, it’s the turn of the Gloomspite Gitz. Improved Moon Mechanics – The bad moon isn’t going to be immediately flying off the board before you can use it anymore, and there are new ways to count your models as under its light even when they aren’t. We also now have a Warhammer Community article on the Bad Moon allegiance ability. Started with the idea of the Bad Moon as it is at the centre of all the races. Then thought about how the Bad Moon could be brought to the table in a thematic, skittish and erratic manner. Team wanted the balance of randomness for Moonclan, but also being easy to use and not mind-bendingly crazy The Gas Squig produces a toxic gas so Orks with gas masks throw this Squig in combat, using the Squig itself as a chemical weapon. The new Fanatics kit allows you to build five Fanatics. Standard Moonclan Fanatics have now been renamed Loonsmasha Fanatics and can be concealed inside your own units. The kit will also build “puffshroom-swinging Sporesplatta Fanatics” which shield your units from shooting with choking clouds of spores.

Grimscuttle is a total rewrite from the old White Dwarf rules and feels like it still doesn’t quite get there for what is one of the weaker standalone parts of the army. This now lets you deploy up to two spiderfang units off the board with each skitterstrand that you have already deployed in ambush from beyond – bringing all the units on together when the skitterstrand deploys onto the board. It’s certainly an interesting way to keep some of your units safe from early alpha strikes, but can leave you at the mercy of multiple 9” charges. Battalions The Moonclan Grots, meanwhile, are known for their love of the mushrooms that line their caves. Their Fungoid Cave-Shamans are experts in the selection and use of these ‘shrooms, concocting exotic brews and channelling extraordinary magical powers by imbibing them. The Moonclan Grots breed many varieties of squigs, which they herd (or cling to for dear life and “steer”) in the general direction of their enemies. They’re also frequently accompanied by monstrous troggoths who follow in their wake seeking an easy meal. Spiderfang Grots worship gargantuan arachnids and can harness spiders of ever more terrifying size to ride to war. Their Spider Riders are swift cavalry, able to scuttle up and over terrain, and their potent venoms cause mortal wounds on to-hit rolls of six.

And we now have the Loonking’s warscroll – very resilient for a grot with 6 wounds and a 5+ then 4+ save. The Loonboss is the moon-headed hero to lead (and presumbaly buff) your Grot Stabbas. Proudly standing on a boss-fungus. Symbol of the moon to embody the power of the Bad Moon god and show status. Glogg’s Megamob boosts how often Troggoth units can regenerate lost wounds. Grimscuttle Tribes are spider-riders who follow the massive Skitterstrand Arachnaroks as they burrow through holes in reality. In game terms, this allows units of Grimscuttle Spiderstrand units to arrive from reserves almost anywhere on the board. The Gitz want to strike out in sight of the Bad Moon and win its favour so that the moon might stay, permanently eclipse Hysh and usher in a period of total domination by the Gloomspite Gitz Surprisingly for such a straight forward faction, there’s a fair amount of lore. The “Squigalanche” is more of a loose coalition of squig riding towards more or less the same goal. Few know why Squigs do this. Is it random chance? Is it the will of Mork that drives them? Who knows? All that matters is if you see them on the horizon you’re already dead, because there’s no way you’re getting out of the way in time.the Moonclan venerate the Bad Moon as the lunar object that it is and as an aspect of GorkaMorka that they worship

Gloomspite Gitz are the next battletome for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Moonclan, Spiderfang, Troggoths and Gargants all joining together under the banner of Skragrott the Loonking. Here is where I’ll collate all the information about the Gloomspite Gitz and Moonclan Grots as and when we know it. Rabble Rowsa: Not really bad just not so useful with a Jaws of Mork army. His most important ability is Get Goin’ you Gitz, which allows monsters to run and charge. It just isn’t that useful with Mangler Squigs which can often do that anyway if the Bad Moon is willing. Take this guy with Gargants in his regiment of reknown. Or maybe Ironjawz. Or maybe even Spiderfang Grots. The new kit allows you to build 10 squigs, with 20 unique faces interchangeable with different leg poses. The kit also allows you to build 2 herders. Thankfully, the Squigboss knows it all. This expert grot’s acute understanding of squiggly physiology is unparalleled, and he’s agreed to help us catalogue some of many squigs of the Mortal Realms. It provides a flexible basis for an army at a good bundle price, but may not be the right way to start if you want to double-down on a particular theme, like Squigs or Troggoths. Warshcrawla Sloggoth : As you can see by now I’ve gone very far off the original “squigs only” theme. But where the Marshcrawla is concerned it’s been absolutely worth it. Finally, an aura so big it can keep up with my army. Well most of it; even 18″ isn’t big enough to catch any units you have to send off on the flanks. But the +1 to hit has been great and it also gives me another fairly nasty monster to send in in a pinch.
