About this deal

The Lion’s Mane Mushroom (Hericium Erinaceus) occurs in North America, Europe, and Asia. The color of the wig agaric is white to light orange. The mushroom can have a diameter of 25 centimeters. The wig mushroom is popular in Chinese cuisine. After harvesting the Lion’s Mane mushroom is processed into a fine powder. Lion’s mane is considered an endangered species in most of Europe due to over-harvesting in the wild.

Research was carried out on this mushroom powder using rats in 2005, and the findings unearthed several medicinal substances present in Hericium Erinaceus. The substances included palmitic acid, threitol and D-arabinitol. A study of these substances found them to be responsible for reducing blood sugar and regulating lipid levels in the blood. Evidence also suggested this mushroom has a wide range of antioxidants. Say farewell to the confines of cognitive fatigue and usher in a life of brilliance and equilibrium. Each serving nourishes your mind with the most exceptional Lion's Mane supplement on the market, all at an unbeatable value. 💚 Can be taken at any point throughout the day. Personally we like to add a gram to our morning coffee and then another to our pre-workout drinks. If your Lions Mane Mushroom supplement doesn't look like either of these, or it is sweet in taste, then it may not be a good quality or even an unauthentic extract. The capsules don’t contain dried mushroom powder like many others, but rather a concentrated extract with high levels of beta glucans (30%) - a soluble fibre that boosts the immune system and supports gut health - and hericenones and erinacines, which stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF) in the brain and give lion’s mane its cognitive enhancing properties. It contains three powerful mushrooms extracts - lion’s mane, cordyceps and chaga extract - as well as red maca (a root used for energy and vitality), theanine (found in tea and balances out caffeine), resveratrol (strong antioxidant found in red wine) and bacopa (herb used in Ayurvedic medicine). Anyone making claims of having standardized their extracts for terpenes, hericenones, or erinacines is intentionally or unknowingly trying to deceiving you.

MYTH: Chinese mushroom extracts are all poor quality / contain high levels of heavy metals / While many studies on lion’s mane are conducted on rats and mice, there are a number of clinical studies on humans. The usual dose is between 0.5-3g per of dried lion’s mane powder per day. I have been using this in my morning coffee for around a year. I have seen a huge lift in my mood, clarity of mind and focus. I have adhd so these are so very welcome benefits indeed :-)This rebuilding of nerve cells and thus improvement of nervous system function, could mean that Lion’s mane could play a vital role in the treatment of nerve related conditions as well as possibly repairing neurological trauma and increasing cognitive abilities. A 2020 study of people with mild Alzheimer’s disease found that supplementation with 1 gram of lion’s mane mushroom daily for 49 weeks significantly improved cognitive test scores compared with a placebo ( 7). Unsubstantiated claims such as extracts that are said to be standardized to hericenones and/or erinacines. Since there is no way to accurately test for these compounds, these products are very unlikely to be authentic. Another 2013 animal study found that lion’s mane extract was more effective at preventing alcohol-induced stomach ulcers than traditional acid-lowering drugs — and without any negative side effects ( 21).

While there is ongoing research into pure mycelium extracts, there is presently not much, if any, data supporting efficacy in humans. Every study conducted on Lions Mane Mushroom thus far has been done using only the fruiting bodies . That means that if you want to attain the maximum possible benefits from Lions Mane mushroom extract, based on the data, you should be supplementing with an extract that is made using the whole mushroom fruiting bodies. Sure, this sounds like a convenient excuse. It's not like we haven't tested our Lions Mane extract with one of these labs, only to find that our preferred lab would not verify the results without a valid standard and method. And that's the reality of the situation - ask any respectable lab, and they will tell you exactly the same thing. These are misleading claims based on unverified science. In mice with diabetic nerve damage, 6 weeks of daily lion’s mushroom extract significantly reduced pain, lowered blood sugar levels, and even increased antioxidant levels ( 34). More studies are needed to determine the potential health benefits in humans, but the results from lab and animal studies are promising. SummaryAdditionally, animal studies have found that lion’s mane may help protect against Alzheimer’s disease, a degenerative brain disease that causes progressive memory loss. EU or US grown" Lions Mane mushroom products rarely contain the fruiting bodies and are more commonly loaded with starch. You may be not be surprised to learn that producing mushrooms on a grand scale is expensive. It is also economically unfeasible - for the most par - in the US and EU markets. This is largely why you will find that mushroom products in these regions are almost always from the mycelium which has been cultured on grain (rice, oats, etc.), and they rarely contain any actual mushrooms! These products typically contain 65-70% of grain starch.
