Fantastic reply! This was a great read and has been a big assist in trying to figure out truth vs fiction.I measured the dimensions of the chain with a digital gauge. Externally it was the exactly same across the outside of the plates. Internally there is a difference of 0.3mm between the plates when comparing the two. Keep in mind that chains don't actually stretch. They get longer as the chain's plates wear grooves into its pins and rollers. To make it last longer, you either need a near-magical* engineering solution from the manufacturer, or you need to reduce the friction.
