A cleverly done fire button which in effect is part of the display panel and which you can fire from anywhere from the top of the display, to the top of the panel meaning there is quite a large area which will fire the device. I received the Mariana Blue which looks really nice from up close—but based on the pics, I really prefer the look of the Riverwood one. Still, the one I have looks great. The outside frame is a shiny brushed gunmetal that doesn’t fingerprint when you touch it. Reminds me of the nicer-looking mods of the past years like the Tesla Steampunk Nano 120. I’m a big fan of the display, it’s very bright, super clear and makes full use of its available space. If your battery does charge properly in one charger but does not charge properly in another, your charger is faulty, not your battery. Don't take long draws or vaping with very short intervals between two drags. Each puff time shall be 4 seconds at most. My device isn’t charging.

Airflow wide open, its a fairly airy draw, and thanks to the drip-tip, the warmth comes through nicely, but the flavour is just a little plain that’s all. Build quality is excellent all round, everything is solid and smooth (threads, air adjustments etc). I haven't tried the Zlide tank yet but I did install the adapter and tank onto the mod and it reads the coil fine. Again the build quality seems excellent and if the Zlide works as good as the Zenith I own, It will be an amazing MTL tank and a massive bonus addition to this Kroma Z kit. Very happy! The mod feels great in the hand and is lighter weight than most mods with such a large capacity battery.

Battery life was pretty much what I expected it to be (using a Molicell 21700), at 66 watts I was getting most of a working day and at 45 watts I was getting well into the evening.The screen doesn’t display the percentage though which was a bit meh, but the battery icon was good as it colour changed as it decreased. Woohoo it has airflow adjustment! And not just that! In the kit you get two airflow rings which you screw onto the base of the pod to fasten the coil. One airflow ring has 6 rather large openings for RDL vaping and one of them has just this one tiny hole which is meant fir MTL. This is so far the best pod-mod airflow wise, because both loose DTL and VERY tight MTL are possible. Love this airflow for MTL and it just fits the Z-Coil line perfectly, even with the outer airflow wide-open and the MTL ring attached it is already tight. Also, with the RDL ring you can get a tight MTL draw with the airflow closed. Airflow sounds smooth for the most part, just only with the DTL-ring it whistles when closing it down further than half. The beauty of this pod is the filling port though. Located at the rear of the pod, meaning you’ve no need to remove the pod from the device to re-fill. I’m a big fan of that. The 4.5ml capacity pod sits nice and firmly in the device and holds on tight thanks to the 2 large magnets near the front of the base. With the DTL 0.3ohm coil at 35W you get around 290 puffs and with the MTL 0.8ohm coil I get 565 puffs out of one charge. That is a lot of puffs for MTL, one charge enough for 2-3 days of vaping.The Kroma-Z features 1.7Amp USB Type C fast charging. Fast charging is a feature seen in our premium devices which allow you to use a 1.7Amp wall charger and high quality USB-C cable to charge your device. 1.7A charges devices faster than a standard 1Amp or .5Amp charger. Make sure that your Innokin device is Fast Charging compatible before you charge your device with a fast charger. Never leave your device unattended while charging. For the 0.8Ω Z-Coil, recommended at 15 to 18 Watts, I went with a 50Vg 50PG 20mg Nic Salt – GotSalts – Peachy Promise. So onto the ZF 0.3ohm coil which had a narrower range of 30-45 watts, starting at 30 watts and it was obvious that this was going to favour RDL and gave a bit more flavour, with the airflow closed even more I could go down as far as 20 watts and still get a decent RDL vape, more surprisingly I could even get a MTL draw but the 810 drip-tip made this impractical. Increasing the wattage to the max 45 watts was far better than I had expected and wasn’t far off the 0.3ohm coils performance which made it a pretty good alternative if you want less juice consumption and a longer battery life. It’s fine, I mean I cant really complain but its just not up there with some of the others. Especially with their 0.3Ω Mesh coil. Its a long way off its competitors. Is this device versatile to suit a new vaper, and an experienced one a like? Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling.

But for those perhaps looking for their first pod mod after enjoying their first few months with a starter kit, the Innokin Kroma-Z will do them proud. Each Kroma Z pod will hold up to 2ml of e-liquid and you can use any flavour you want with this kit. Aside from giving you more options when it comes to e-liquid, the pods also feature a side filling port which means it doesn’t even have to be removed from the device to be refilled. When it comes to selecting an e-liquid, you can use 50/50 and high PG options for the MTL coils, while the RDTL coils will work best with 60% or 70% VG e-liquid. The pod also features adjustable airflow, so you can experience either a tight or loose inhale. Do not overfill the tank, or the liquid will get into the central section of the coil and flow out from the bottom of the tank. drip-tip compatible and inside the kit you get 3 drip-tips. In my opinion two for MTL and one for DTL. Very nice to receive 3 drip-tips in the kit. The Kroma - R is fully adjustable to become just right for you, especially those more advanced in vaping and you can enjoy great vaping with Wattage (6 – 80W) and Voltage (1 – 7.5V) outputs and Soft, Normal and Boost Modes. Advanced users will love the custom Curve (wattage over time) function and Bypass mode, which emulates the output of a mechanical mod.

With the 0.3Ω Z-Coil is recommended between 30 and 40 watts, and primarily designed for a Direct Lung, or Restrictive Direct Lung Vape. Only use Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries in devices that have a built in protection circuit board(PCB) that detect shorts, over-discharge, over-charging etc. Use of lithium ion batteries without a PCB may increase your risk or explosion and,or fire. Adapter catches onto the device strongly with a magnetic connection. It is with a tank on top holding on strongly. You can put up to a 28mm tank on top without overhang, but I think it goes best with an MTL tank. Please start with low wattage/temperature and increase it slowly&steadily through up the range until you find the favorite flavor of your e-liquid. The Ares is suitable for both mouth to lung and a smooth restricted lung draw. For a reliable and inexpensive sub-tank then look no further than the i-Sub range, often bundled with Cool Fire mods as kits the i-Sub has a wide range of coil options and is less power hungry than a lot of sub-tanks enabling it to be used with single cell and lower power mods.
