Dual monitor:

He first introduces himself to the Ardygun family as "Heero Yuy", which was likely inspired by the time Heero went about using Duo's name for a time.

An updated version of the XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe that was destroyed by OZ, the Deathscythe Hell is better adapted for space combat. Like its predecessor, the Deathscythe Hell specializes in stealth and close combat. The new active cloak mounted on the shoulders improve the suit's defense when closed, and can withstand multiple beam cannon shots from OZ's OZ-02MD Virgo. Furthermore, it also allows the suit to become invisible. When opened, the active cloak enhances the Gundam's mobility. One of Duo Maxwell's favorite strategies is to use the Gundam's enhanced hyper jammers and its invisibility to sneak close to enemy units and catch them unawares. This tactic is usually good for taking out at least one or two enemy units, after which Duo will uncloak the Gundam. The unit was the second Gundam type mobile suit to appear in the series after the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam, piloted by series protagonist Heero Yuy.An ad for Gundam Wing when it was on Toonami aired a few words from a John F. Kennedy speech; "The torch has been passed to a new generation". From his famous speech "Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans--" etc.

In the censored english dub of Gundam W, Duo refers to himself as "The Great Destroyer" rather than the "God of Death" due to religious themes. Several sequel manga occurring between Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz have been written, titled Blind Target, Ground Zero and Battlefield of Pacifists. A coincidental storyline is presented in Last Outpost (G-Unit). The Gundam Wing, Battlefield of Pacifists and Endless Waltz manga series were published in English by TOKYOPOP, while Blind Target, Ground Zero and Episode Zero were published by Viz Communications. Another sequel manga detailing the future of the colonies, Tiel's Impulse, was also printed, but not in English. In 2010, as part of the 15th anniversary of Gundam Wing in Japan, a new sequel photo novel titled Frozen Teardrop began publication, along with a stylized manga re-telling of the Gundam Wing series titled Glory of the Losers (with Vertical Comics publishing an English release beginning in 2017). The name OZ stands for "Organization of Zodiac"; this is further evidence by the naming scheme of their weapons: Leo, Aries, Cancer, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo and Libra. The ground-use Tragos stands in for Capricorn ("tragos" is Greek for goat). Subsequent manga stories introduce the Gundam Geminass (Gemini), Hydra and Scorpio, and the G-Generation series of video games introduced the Gundam Aquarius.

The Gundam Deathscythe was designed and constructed by the Professor G at a secret facility somewhere in the L2 Colony Cluster. One of the many who worked on the Gundam was Duo Maxwell, an orphan boy who would later go on to pilot the suit. Once Duo heard about the details of Operation Meteor, however, he became determined to destroy the suit. He was foiled in his attempts by Professor G, who refused to let him destroy such a "work of art". Instead, the professor let him 'steal' the suit and leave for Earth. Duo would use the Deathscythe to destroy only OZ and United Earth Sphere Alliance facilities.

Customer reviews

The story of Gundam Wing begins in the year After Colony 195 with the start of Operation Meteor, five disgruntled scientists' plan for revenge against the tyrannical OZ military organization for their oppression over the space colonies. The operation involves five young boys who have each been chosen and trained by one of the five rogue scientists, then sent to Earth independently in extremely advanced Mobile Suits, one designed by each of the scientists, known as "Gundams". Their mobile suits are called Gundams because they are constructed from a rare and astonishingly durable material known as Gundanium Alloy, which can only be created in outer space. Heero abandons Wing during the final battle at the Sanc Kingdom rather than at Luxembourg; he simply leaves it behind in the hangar and soon after swaps Epyon for Wing Zero with Zechs. Heero gets the torpedoes so he can trigger the self-detonation device on his Gundam. Underwater, 3 of Zechs's subordinates head out in Cancer and Pisces Mobile Suits. Marina suits are also sent after the sunken Gundam. Meanwhile, Relena arrives at her birthday party. Her father has to leave immediately. Before he goes, he accidentally drops photos of the Gundam space crafts heading to earth from his briefcase.
