There are front rollers on the mower, to help the unit ride over small obstacles in the garden, but there is no fitted roller or striper. As with the 300, the weight of the machine’s air pressure pressing on the grass as it travels will line up the grass. But it does not have the weight to make lasting stripes. Metre Cable – Cables can be a bummer but over time you get used to them and develop a system to use them effectively. This particular model comes with a 12 m cable, which I feel is a little on the short side. The cutting width of this mower is perfectly adequate for a medium-sized lawn but without the use of an extension cable you would struggle to reach it all. Firstly, this lawn mower is best suited for small and medium sized gardens. While it can be certainly used on larger lawns, the overall design is geared towards more manageable sizes, with the cutting widths and height settings being more appropriate for small to medium lawns. What does make it to the grass box is easy enough to dispose of, although here is where I found another build quality issue. An orange flap (lid) connected to the main body of the mower is supposed to clip to the top of the grass box. I found that the plastic it is made from is so flimsy that it is virtually impossible to connect it on both sides without it springing out of position. Another great feature for Flymo Glider 330 is its adjustable cutting heights. A total of four cutting heights are available, ranging from 12mm to 32mm. This is helpful in a number of ways, such as allowing you to adjust the height mid-mow should you come across a more uneven section of your lawn that needs more or less height removed.

Another great feature of the EasiGlide range of mowers is the inclusion of a roller at the front of the mower. This is not to produce a stripy lawn but to assist in wheeling the mower around when not in use. I couldn't find any accessories to go with the Flymo EasiGlide Plus 330V. However, the main additional feature that anyone who buys this mower will want to consider is an extension cable. Ease of Operation– After about 2 minutes of using this mower you should be an expert – it’s that easy! To get it started all you need to do is plug it in, hold down one of the triggers (you can use either your right hand or left hand) and then push the button in the centre. There’s nothing to it really. After that you just have to push it where you want it to cut and then keep an eye on the grass box. It was great as there was no need to break out the toolbox, no need to try and decipher poorly written instructions and no need to use any of my free time setting it up. Sadly, there is no escaping the fact that compared to battery mowers, a mower with an electrical cable is a pain. You have to be aware at all times where the cable is, how much you have left and (crucially!) whether you are in danger of chopping through it. This is probably not an issue for someone who is already using a mower with a cable, but if you are used to using battery power, I am pretty sure this will annoy you.

If grass collection is a high priority then I would recommend you avoid a hover mower entirely and go for a Stihl RMA 235, which actually vacuums it up as it goes.
