About this deal

I will stop at this for the plot and will focus on what I felt and what you can expect from that read.

You should know going into this book that it was originally part of a duet but the Ravenhood series expanded into a trilogy so you’ll be left on a bit of a cliffhanger and want to read the second book, Exodus, pronto. She is a native of Texas. A best selling author, Stewart is known for writing romance novels that readers can’t get enough of! Cecelia on the other hand, is clueless. She is mind blown by her nights sitting in a dirty garage on his lap, while Sean and his friends smoke pizza, eat weed (or is it the other way around?) and ignore her presence. She even dares to say that is the happiest she ever felt. She says and I quote: that they are nothing like the boys in her high school, that these were men. This book made me think! Cecelia’s eyes were opened to a new way of thinking during her time in Triple Falls. I absolutely loved the “teachings” she was indoctrinated with during her time there and how it opened her eyes to a different way of living. She was living the Matrix movie! Chapter 25 had me pulling the car over to message my friend, Christy, to ask her what she had gotten me into. *lol* I mean, I did see the foreshadowing happening early on in the story but to actually see it come to fruition was on a whole another level.we don’t talk about this man. his last name is roberts so my bruna bae calls me “mrs. roberts” now😔idk why, especially since she’s the one who married him. he’s all yours, pookie!! blonde hair, lip ring and all! enjoy😙you can be his pup forever. bahahah😂omg please don’t kill me for this. we’re both whores for tobias and dom😋

there is a fine line between love and hate. that’s the first thing that comes to mind when i think about the romance in this trilogy. i’m a big fan of men who are grumpy assholes who end up going soft for the woman they love. that sounds so basic, but this trilogy makes everything romance related…very complicated. kate distills the pain of unrequited love and bottles it for us to devour and die. Her merciless writing took me to dark places in my soul, where the sunshine of truths hadn't shone for years. It was a very personal journey for me and I recognized the river of pain that flowed straight from Kate's heart to my own. In that way I feel a kinship to her. She speaks fluent angst and I read and weep in the same dialect.Overall, this book definitely redeems the series, even if it’s still not perfect. I think there’s quite a few plot holes and the characters are pretty confusing, but honestly, it was just entertaining as hell. I’m not really sure what the third book is about because this seemed to have a HEA ending but maybe I’ll end up reading it one day - probably not immediately though 😅 i know for sure that humility has changed me in a major way. and these lessons i haven't taken for granted, even if i’ve been taken for granted in the process.” ༺ The book takes the reader on a wild journey that is told from the perspective of Cecilia, a 19-year-old who has temporarily moved in with her estranged father. Finding herself in a mysterious new town, she seizes the opportunity to step outside her comfort zone, take new chances, and face her fears. Maxine Mitchell captured Cecelia and her young, questioning ways of adulthood and sexuality with a finesse that was utter perfection. And her French accent for another character was spot on. She made me feel who Cecelia was and everything she was grappling with. From her parents to her life in Triple Falls with a group of men, I got to experience everything through her eyes and it was HAWT!! Meggie fell for a priest. I fell for a prophet. We declared war on their calling and cause, and neither of us won."
