About this deal

y’all need to look up the definition of casual in the dictionary bcos i think you’ve got the wrong idea.

This is also a GRUMPY-SUNSHINE book. They are my least favorite, but I actually enjoyed how this was written. The sunshine main character was way less annoying than I thought she would be. We also get some amazing down syndrome representation in this book, since the FMC's sister has down syndrome. This was sooooo good! Julian (H) is an excellent book boyfriend who would do anything for the girl he’s crazy for and Dahlia’s (h) mental health journey was emotional and fulfilling. Julian's a billionaire luxury construction company owner and Dahlia is a designer who had her own tv show and a line of home goods. There is an element of second chance in their love story, but even though they've known each other since childhood (their moms are best friends), their initial potential for romance wasn't til college and wasn't completely fulfilled as Julian had a life changing event at the time and pushed Dahlia away. Their past with each other plays a huge role in their present interactions, internal monologues, and consideration for what could exist for them now. I personally thought there was too much focus on their past and the negatives surrounding it, esp their time in college, as it became repetitive for me. I still found their banter and many of the details amusing, I just wished that progress came for them a bit earlier in the book. Still, this romance is character-driven and relationship-focused and had a wealth of emotional scenes, sweet moments, funny shenanigans, and steaminess. The writing style reminds me a little bit too much of my economic textbook. Please stop, I don't want to be taken there leave me alone- 🥲 Basically, the main character Rowan is Walt Disney's grandson. He has 2 other brothers, Walt Disney dies but he leaves behind a letter, he won't let the boys take over the company and the park together it if they don't meet certain requirements he made on that letter. Our marriage was supposed to be the perfect solution to my biggest problem. But the more we act in love for the public, the more unsure I feel about our contract. She was strong and resilient woman who went through shit bc a man couldn't behave like an adult he was supposed to be and then on the top of that this mf elopes with some other girl all while she's dealing with all the issues he gave him. I legit hated this mf so much because she deserved soo much and he couldn't even give her basic respect. Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions?

Always having an imaginative streak, Lauren Asher would focus on her love of reading and writing from a very early age. This passion of hers would develop over time, allowing her to essentially become the full-time novelist she’d always wanted to become. Refining and honing her craft throughout the intervening years, she’d come to establish her own unique voice with its distinct style and tone. An active member of the literary community, she has a strong presence online, with a loyal following of readers from around the world. This following continues to grow with each passing day, allowing her to become the writer she’s always wanted to be. Maintaining a public profile both offline and on, she continues to regularly write on a consistent basis, with more to follow. I will still read Terms and Conditions, cause I already bought it and I kinda have to. I'm petty and don't want to waste my money, excuse the fact that I already did but yeah... ZAHRA A GIRLBOSS, I loved her so much. We don't get women as strong and as independent as her in fiction very often. AND I NEVER GET TIRED OF THESE CHARACTERS. She's this bright and intelligent person who took hardships in life and used them as a weapon to make herself a better person. THE FAVORITE PART OF THIS BOOK for me was Zahra's relationship with her sister Ani. And Ani was my favorite character. I have a soft spot for disability rep in fiction and THIS ONE was executed so well! I wouldn't say that any of the dialogue she was involved in was very realistic, but I can forgive that one.boredom . Never at any point in this book was I interested . Was Bored throughout . DNF’d this book . Whatever it was supposed to focus on passed and the book just continued and diverged from that path without my noticing . I was left looking for the climax and purpose .gave up looking . who’s the baddest bitch of them all? yeah that’s Dahlia Muñoz!! the way she battled depression, anxiety, and other issues was so healing to read. the way she has Julian on his knees asking her out for dinner?! she is the moment. she has Julian on by the LEASH. his every action is dictated by the emotions shown on her face. and that’s what i call true mf love. bcos the parts that weren’t a snoozefest? they hit hard for me, ngl. there were some seriously cute moments between Rowan and Zahra— especially some of the special things Rowan did for her. with the book signing, the dinners, the drawings, etc. before selling it. The request was simple in theory until my entire plan blew up on the very first day.
