About this deal

The type of connection cable that you need will depend on the radio controller, but chances are pretty good that you’ll need either a USB-C cable or else a 3.5mm audio interface, similar to what is described above for the DJI FPV controller. Custom-made myopia lenses are only compatible with DJI FPV Goggles and will be sold at the DJI Online Store.

In 810p/120fps Low-Latency mode, the video transmission latency is lower than 28ms; in 810p/60fps High-Quality mode, the video transmission latency is lower than 40ms. Omnidirectional antennas are only compatible with other antennas that are left-hand circular polarized. Since the drone is geared towards the DJI FPV Goggles V2, the new DJI FPV Controller V2 doesn’t have a phone cradle for attaching a phone. This is unsurprising because you will always get the best experience from FPV drones when flown wearing goggles, as opposed to trying to view the camera feed on a phone or tablet. But it might have been a nice option for those wanting to use the DJI FPV as a traditional drone. In recent years, DJI’s focus has been on its Mavic line of drones, which all feature a similar folding design. The DJI FPV is different – while it's a small drone, the motor arms are fixed and the upright body makes it appear much larger than it is.FCC: United States, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and other regions. FCC-compliant. Measurements were taken in unobstructed environments free of interference. Always follow local rules and regulations and fly your drone within your visual line of sight unless otherwise permitted.

Obstacle sensing is only available when the aircraft is in N mode. In this mode, DJI FPV will automatically decelerate when it detects obstacles, but it will not automatically stop. DJI Avata only supports downward obstacle sensing when used with DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, or DJI RC Motion 2/DJI Motion Controller in N Mode and S Mode. Normal' mode is the one you will naturally start with, since this uses GPS positioning and takes advantage of the DJI FPV's front and bottom visual positioning sensors. The drone behaves much like other DJI drones in this mode and will hover in position when the controls are released. The screen refresh rate changes with the video transmission frame rate. It may switch between 100 Hz and 60 Hz to adapt to the current video transmission frame rate. The goggles provide reliable long-distance, low-latency transmission which never once faltered during our testing. The single screen resolution of 1440x810 provides a beautifully clear image from the camera, too. Tested in an outdoor open environment without interference. The video transmission bitrate varies with operating environments. Once you’ve plugged the controller into the computer, hopefully your computer will recognize the device. The next step is to configure the controller for the simulator of your choice. This will vary slightly by program, but should be fairly intuitive to figure out in the settings menu. in-1 integrated software for the DJI FPV RC reduces operational errors and allows users to change settings remotely.

This feature is only available when using DJI FPV. Transmitted images from the goggles to the app can be sent to a smartphone via cable (USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to lightning). When you see ‘suitable for beginners’ mentioned with regards to the DJI FPV, this means FPV beginners rather than first-time drone users. If you’ve never flown a drone before, it’s highly recommended that you try a standard drone model first to get used to the controls and basic flight maneuvers. Note: If you use the DJI FPV Goggles and the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 at the same time, you must first link the DJI FPV Drone and the goggles, and then link the remote controller. Includes The DJI FPV is advertised as being able to fly for up to 20 minutes, but this is at a speed of 25mph in windless conditions, so unlikely in reality. Flight time, in real terms, in our tests was around 10 minutes per battery and will always ultimately depend on conditions. But in context, this is still much better battery life than standard FPV drones. Video and photo quality
