I really enjoyed this compelling story, the plot has plenty of depth to it with some suspense thrown it. Dead To Me is a heart-warming and evocative tale that is a real delight to read, if you are looking for a book to escape the demands of every day life for a few hours I would highly recommend you read Dead To Me.

The main characters, some I wanted to hug, some I wanted to make a nice cup of tea, sit and natter with. And two I wanted to be a mum to. You’ve heard the saying “ you have to experience the bad to appreciate the good” and other such cliches.This book is an artifact of the person I was and the kind of writer I was in 2013, and that's interesting, especially because in some ways, I'm a very different person and writer now. Somehow, the mismatched pair form an instant friendship strong enough to survive their parent's disapproval.

Firstly, it shows this series isn't about the sex primarily, but about a paranormal having paranormal relations - so to speak - without losing the rest of the story. Secondly: by taking the time to explore and explain in sofar as Bree understands what's happening the author is able to flesh out her characters a tad more and build towards a second follow up title. Alice was completely my type of protagonist. She was brave and smart, but she was also young and inexperienced. Unfortunate for her, let me tell you, but it made for excellent reading and kept me hooked until the very end. I found myself growing more and more fond of this little rebel, who was trying so hard to be everyone’s favorite and keep everyone happy. In spite of this, I was very sympathetic to her plight (which is rare, for me) and I constantly found myself rooting for her and wanting her to get out of every situation unscathed. Let me start with the fact that I did love this book, it was exactly what i wanted, twists and turns etc, however I don't think it's as good as some of her others (will explain why soon) hence why I have given four stars instead of five.
