About this deal

There are only a few manufacturers of [screw thread] canisters world wide, and they manufacture all the different brands. So two different brands often come off the same production line in Korea. As far as I know, the Camping Gas bottles contain 250 grams of gas, while the Gelert bottles contain only 220. That's 12% less product. The fact that they cost exactly the same as the trader mentioned, gives me another good reason to return them. Need it in a hurry? We are also able to offer before 12 noon and Saturday delivery services. See here for information on these services Be prepared for your camping trip to the great outdoors or festival with our guide on what to take. The main difference is the proportion of propane to butane. More propane = better cold weather performance. The exact mix of propane, butane and isobutane is usually secret. But above 5 degreees Celsius (41 Fahrenheit), you probably don’t need any butane

You are probably right, but for me the fact that a specific product is advertised, pictured online and clearly described as "X", means that when I choose to buy it, I will receive "X", not "Y" which is really close to "X". I am not paying "something which is really close to money", am I? Besides, I wasn't even given the chance to choose if I wanted that or not. Why? Could it be because the "alternative branding" product contains less gas but costs the same (so there's an immediate additional 12% profit for them paid by the stupid customer)? Cooking outside is one of the joys of camping, so why not do it properly with our range of outdoor cooking equipment? Key pieces of kit you’ll need include: A camping kettle Specifically, with a ‘dual fuel’ stove below or one of the adaptors below, you can use multiple types of gas cylinder, which will maximise your chances of finding gas canisters all over the world, wherever you are. It’s a good way to save money too as the alternatives are often cheaper. However, if you’re travelling through different countries or out in the middle of nowhere, you can’t always find screw-on gas canisters.

If you fancy rustling up some delicious grub on your next camping trip then be sure to read our camping cooking tips. For what it's worth, even their invoice had the correct product description. I might be wrong, but I don't think that's even legal, sending a different product than what the invoice states. Some people seem to think that certain brands give a more consistent flow and let you use the full canister better. But that’s not widely experienced, there’s no obvious consistency in which are the best/worst brands, and I don’t know of any reason that would be true (ultimately, they are just metal pots filled with gas). It’s important to be aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide when using a camping stove. Avoid cooking inside your tent or in an enclosed area, as gas build-up can be fatal. Always cook in well-ventilated areas, and never use your gas stove in your tent as a heater. This guide gives a simple explanation of the different types of camping gas available, which one you need for your camping stove and where you can find them.

While your ideal camping trips may involve lots of rigorous hikes and long days of exploring, you’ll also want to give yourself time to stop and relax. And we don’t mean sitting on the cold, hard, bumpy ground. Decathlon’s range of camping chairsare designed with every camper type in mind. You’ll find folding camping chairs with built-in drinks holders to folding stools if you just want somewhere to perch.div>
