About this deal

The built-in automatic timer is available here, too, so you can use this projector on many different occasions and do not worry about having to turn it off. It will switch off automatically after 1 hour or 2 hours of use. We also like that you can adjust the settings with the included remote control and that the projector can be moved up or down to change where the nebulas are displayed. Plus, the cute astronaut doubles as a decorative item for your child’s room. Parents will also appreciate the 45- and 90-minute timer so that the projection doesn’t disturb their child’s sleep.

Honestly, there are many similar products at this price point (I mention a couple later in this guide). Most of these units differ primarily in the shape of their plastic housing, and some are decorated with lights themselves. I chose this particular star projector because it was easily placed on a shelf and was unobtrusive. Having completed a recent Brainstorm Toys Deep Space Home Planetarium and Star Projector review, we feel that it deserves a spot in this guide as a great STEM toy that will captivate kids ages six and up, and, in our opinion, spark their interest in all things space-related. Because of its design, we’d recommend installing the LED Cloud Water Projector as a permanent sensory fixture. Each projector comes with a handy colour controller, attachments, clamping screws and an outdoor spike for an easy self-install. Features:

If you’re looking for special features like rotation capabilities, remote control, specific color combinations, smart app controls, or other features, be sure to consider this when shopping for your galaxy room projector. Colors Hi Dave! Your motivations for the project state that you don’t intend to deceive and you don’t even want to exploit the project commercially. Project Nimbus is an ‘open source cloud projector to share with artists and activists as a means for creative expression.’ Did you receive some offers to use the work in commercial contexts? Like many other star projectors, there's a 'shooting star' function, although, in our Sega Homestar Flux review, we explained how we'd like this to be at random intervals, or in a different place each time so it isn't as predictable. It has an automatic switch-off after 15, 30 or 60 minutes function. Architecture. If your business or school is not already set up using a client-server architecture for users' accounts, the benefits of the WD390U are less immediate. The system only really works well when user's files are all stored on a central server, as this server will link to the projector or projectors and allow use of the remote login capability. If your users store their files locally on desktop computers or laptops, you have to use the traditional LAN display solution: install custom software on the PC and point it at the target projector ahead of time. In theory, yes. Most models of star projectors run from mains AC power or DC through a USB port, so they will run as long as they are plugged in. Some models are battery-powered, meaning you run the risk of the battery running out of power overnight.

With three adjustable ridges on the bottom, you can easily position this projector at three different angles, including upward onto a ceiling. It utilizes both LED and direct laser diode technologies to produce dynamic RGB projections with moving patterns. It's portable and convenient, powered by a USB cable, enabling you to connect it to a computer or a portable battery. Unlike some other models, we found it to be near silent in its operation, which is great if you're using it to get to sleep or whilst watching a film. Cost. Since the thin client functionality is built into the projector, you don't need to install a thin client in the conference room. Multiply that by however many conference rooms you have in your offices and the savings could be quite significant.

Are there any alternative star projectors worth considering?

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but we aren't fans of the lasers on star projectors in general — we know this is subjective. There will be people out there who prefer the laser stars over more realistic-looking star projections. While we don't particularly like them, they fill the room (up to 30x 30 ft), wider than the nebula projection, which is 15 x 15 ft, and they can be turned off completely using the app if you'd prefer.
