About this deal

One of the benefits of this drill is its integrated LED light. The light provides the optimum illumination while working even in dark areas. The grip shape is fine, but it’s not as refined compared to the ones on the Ryobi R18PD3 or the DeWalt DCD796. Bosch have been a bit stingy on the rubberised sections as well, as the tips of my fingers are trying to grip on to hard plastic during use. It’s just not as comfortable as some of the other cordless drills on my list. This combi-drill performs superiorly in drilling and screwing. It is in-built with a two-speed gearbox to provide you with high speed and torque effortlessly. The battery only needs 1 hour to make a full charge. This garden tool only needs a voltage of 18 volt for its charging. The Syneon Chip takes care of the vital operation. This drill is lightweight, easy to use, efficient and powerful for DIY projects around the house as well as small applications like mounting your TV or a portrait on the wall. It also has more torque to offer than its alternatives. We would recommend it over the res. However, if you want something that can handle heavy-duty applications like concrete, then the Bosch Cordless Hammer Drill ideal too.

The box also contains double screwdriver bits with a plastic case. The double screwdriver bits can be used in both screwing and unscrewing operation. There’s plenty of control when it comes to torque settings on this cordless drill. Bosch have called it ScrewControl, but it’s the same principle. You get 20 different settings that control how much power you can put into a screw, to help save the surface of delicate materials you’re working on. The overall feeling I got from this cordless drill is that it’s all a bit underwhelming. The design is unremarkable, and the grip isn’t the best. There are a couple of little features like the direction indicator that look good but don’t add to the performance. The drill isn’t very responsive, and the uninspiring drilling speed makes for slow work. If you’ve used Bosch tools before, you’ll know they come in two different levels. There are the blue Professional-level tools and the green DIY tools. The PSB 1800 fits into the DIY level, which means it’s a capable drill but not designed for heavy everyday use. This drill still proves to be one of Bosch’s best entry level combi drills, but Bosch has also released the Universal Impact Driver, which on first glance sounds like an impact driver. In fact it is more of a hammer drill but with impact driver features on the side. If you are after a dedicated impact driver there are certainly better offerings, but this might set to be a likely replacement for the Bosch PSB 1800 a few years down the road. The drill machine has multiple torque settings for each and every situation. It helps to manage the turning power of the drill driver. Bosch PSB 1800 is lightweight thus making the task easier than ever. The battery-powered drill machine holds a lithium-ion battery with fast charging capability.

As for performance, this cordless combi drill uses Bosch’s advanced Syneon Chip technology that intelligently controls energy usage for each project to give you extended runtimes. This energy powers 20 pre-selectable torque of 38Nm, an impact rate of 20.250 BPM and a speed of 1350 RPM enough to see you through applications like drilling, screwdriving, impact drilling in wood metal and even masonry. It also provides you with adequate lighting as you go about with your duties in the dark or poorly lit areas like in the basement. It’s very efficient for someone with DIY projects. When other cordless drills suffer from drill bits getting loose during drilling, the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 cordless combi drill maintains its workrate even in the toughest of materials. What we liked The cordless feature of this PSB 1800 drill provides the most benefits among the other features. The lithium-ion battery only takes 1 hour to make a full charge. The battery-powered well-designed hammer drill is very much convenient to use. It comes with two lithium-ion batteries with a fast charger.
