Beta-Glucan – Beta-Glucan is comprised of sugars derived from the cell walls of fungi, yeasts, lichens, or other plants. It’s used in medicine to boost the body’s immune system in cases where normal immune defenses are weakened by conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, chemotherapy, or emotional stress. Topically, it’s used to treat dermatitis, eczema, wrinkles, wounds, and burns. It’s anti-inflammatory and promotes collagen production. I’ve used quite a few Benton products in the past and I haven’t been disappointed. My favourites so far are the Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence and the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner claims The concentration of salicylic acid in this toner is only 0.5% which is a bit low that what I’m usually using. This means even the sensitives skins can use it while benefiting from a gentle but well done exfoliation.However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation. If you have oily skin or combination skin just like me you’ll love it two times more because it feels so hydrating without feeling heavy on the skin. I told you how much I love lightweight textures that do a great job and there are so few products that can fit into this category. This is an ingredient that I know my combination skin type loves. I’ve been familiar with it for a few years and I know its benefits. It works as an exfoliant that brightens and smooths out the skin.

For context, I use the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant which is the strongest BHA on the market. I also use the Cerave SA Smoothing Cleanser which is also around 0.5% – 1% BHA. So, in terms of effectiveness, I don’t expect that much from a product with 0.5% BHA. For the same reasons they are popularly used, they are also commonly avoided. Anecdotally, many individuals have reported that Silicones cause/excerbate breakouts, irritation, cause a feeling of skin being unable to breathe, cause clumping of cosmetic products and find it difficult to wash off. As a result, those who find them problematic are avoiding them and increasingly, cosmetic companies are avoiding them as well. I like very much consistency of this toner . I’ve got oily skin , after applying this product my skin feels good . Chemical exfoliators are much gentler on your skin than manual scrubs and are a great way to get you on the road to a brighter complexion. The Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner contains salicylic acid, a natural chemical exfoliator. If you have sensitive, fussy skin, don’t let that scare you; the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner is exceptionally gentle. I have very reactive skin, and this goes on like a dream.
