About this deal

It's as if someone behind the scenes was tapped them after the original installments and storyline and said, hey, chill, this is too close to suppressed history. Thus the games devolved in story and complexity leaving nothing more than the derivative open world icon chasing. One of the DLC's main hooks is an all-new trade system, which has Eivor take control of trading posts scattered around Ireland's countryside. Upgrading your posts and amassing large quantities of trade goods is mostly just busywork, but you can trade your resources for new weapons and armour. Indeed, Wrath of the Druids adds a whole range of new armour sets to the game, many of which both look great and boast effective combat perks. If you're big on loot, this expansion won't disappoint. Before we get into our own opinions on the DLC, let's take a look at the facts. Below, we've listed everything that's included in the Assassin's Creed Valhalla season pass, complete with release dates and prices.

Set during Evior's past life as Odin, Dawn of Ragnarök explores the world of Norse mythology and magic. While not explicitly specified in the AC timeline, Dawn of Ragnarök is one of the oldest in the series to explore the hyper-advanced Isu culture first hand, albeit through a fantasy lens. The player has access to many abilities as Odin against a broader range of enemy types from Norse lore. Players will also get the chance to explore Svartalfheim, a new map that feels much more expansive than the vanilla Assassin's Creed Valhalla experience.

The season pass will allow you to travel to new lands, access epic new content and discover new gear

Become Eivor, a mighty Viking raider and lead your clan from the harsh shores of Norway to a new home amid the lush farmlands of ninth-century England. Explore a beautiful, mysterious open world where you'll face brutal enemies, raid fortresses, build your clan's new settlement, and forge alliances to win glory and earn a place in Valhalla. England in the age of the Vikings is a fractured nation of petty lords and warring kingdoms. Beneath the chaos lies a rich and untamed land waiting for a new conqueror. Will it be you? This expansion will allow players to re-live one of the greatest known Viking sagas in its history, which was a year-long siege of Paris. The threat of Ragnarök increases and intruders of ice and fire besiege the Nine Worlds. The mystical world of the dwarves seems to be falling apart. During this chaos, Allfather Odin tries to rescue his son Baldr, who has been captured by the immortal fire giant called Surtr. All of this subterfuge results in a more nuanced story. Eivor must appeal to both their bloodthirsty Viking allies and the deeply troubled rulers of Francia. It's easily one of the strongest narratives in Valhalla. Those of you who have played as Odin (or Havi) before, know that the gender could not be altered. Well, that has changed! With the new DLC you can now switch between male and female Odin - whenever you want. And that's not all! This expansion offers a lot more cool new content, such as: Play with your Hugr-Rip bracelet To play this expansion, you will of course need the base game Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The other DLCs, Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris, are not required - but are also very cool. To start the desperate mission of Odin, it is not necessary that you are far along in the story of Eivor. Nice, huh? Become Eivor, a legendary Viking raider. Explore England’s Dark Ages as you raid your enemies, grow your clan's settlement, and build your political power in the quest to earn a place among the gods in Valhalla. Visceral Combat: Choose your tactics and dismember opponents in close-quarters combat, riddle them with arrows, or assassinate them with your hidden blade.

Have you finished most of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, or have you just started the game and are you already sure you can't get enough? Jotunheim power turns you into an ice giant. This allows you to teleport and walk among other ice giants, while avoiding conflict. I think the original lore around the series was so strong, its sad to see them turn to merely choosing popular history themes and trying to fit in a few AC elements in to these newer games, and pretty much treat the lore that made these games popular as a half baked afterthought is so bizarre to me. The overarching questline in Wrath of the Druids is one of Valhalla's best. It's got good characters, some intriguing story beats, and a couple of especially cool boss fights (which we won't spoil here). In terms of structure and design, the expansion doesn't deviate a whole lot from the base game, but it does introduce new enemy types alongside semi-randomised, repeatable missions that can be taken on at any time. The addition of the Ranks for Jomsviking: in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players can not only create their lieutenant to be part of their raiding crew, but also recruit some from their friends and the community. In Season 1, players will see an update to the Jomsviking feature which will allow their Jomsviking to earn XP and rank up — the higher will be the rank of the lieutenant, the more silver players will earn when recruited by other players.

Finally, as for each season, Season 1 will also come with new player skills and abilities, weapons and gear, and cosmetic items for the settlement, longship, horse and raven. Taking place across an entirely new open world map, Wrath of the Druids sees Eivor travel to Ireland, with the intention of forging new alliances with the isle's fractured kings and clan leaders. It's a pretty big map — about the size of one or two regions from the main game — with plenty of landmarks and locations to explore. So, what's the verdict on Assassin's Creed Valhalla's season pass? Well, it's fair to say that we think the two expansions are both very good — but it's worth keeping in mind that they're part of an already massive open world RPG. And in that sense, you really have to ask yourself whether you like Valhalla enough to spend another 20 to 30 hours playing it.

WallyWest I hear what you are saying, and in terms of this game specifically I would say AC Valhalla is more of a case of copy and paste game development rather than egregious micro-transaction nonsense. I was merely stating that both trends need to stop. Explore a Dark Age open world, from the harsh shores of Norway to the beautiful kingdoms of England. Become Eivor, a legendary Viking warrior. Explore England's Dark Ages as you raid your enemies, grow your settlement, and build your political power in the quest to earn a place among the gods in Valhalla. With this expansion, you can discover and develop your own unique playing style. You’ll also find beautiful new gear sets, which can be enhanced by the skillful dwarves. These new items and skills are guaranteed to improve your gaming experience - even if you switch from Odin to Eivor. In Dawn of Ragnarök, you'll receive a bracelet that temporarily copies a new skill from your defeated enemy. This is not only useful in battle, but it also comes in very handy when sneaking around among your rivals. The bracelet grants you one of the following powers:
