Q Acoustics 3000i series is the latest product from Q-Acoustics. Compared with 3020i and 3030i, the difference between the two is only in the size of the mid-woofer. The smaller Q-Acoustics 3020i is a 5-inch mid-woofer, and the 3030i is a 6.5-inch mid-woofer. The cabinet has a larger volume and weight, and the design concept and the colors provided are the same. I can't really say much more for the Q Acoustic speakers as me personally.. i don't care for their sound and feel it is very much below par to what i am used too.. not to say the Q's are rubbish.. but they are not for me. CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4, CA5, CA6, CA7, CA8, CA9, CA10, CA11, CA12, CA13, CA14, CA15, CA16, CA17, CA18, CA19, CA20, CA21, CA22, CA23, CA24, CA25, CA26, CA27, CA28. What the 15i speakers have is that tweeter and a sense of focus that provided an impressive precision that the 3030i speakers couldn’t match. The noise floor fell even further letting more detail through.
Buy Q Acoustics 3030i (400€), but here I am afraid that the bass would be bloated, since they are punchy. Which style is better is largely a matter of preference, but once again, their soundstage size belies their size, aided by impressive dynamics that are definitely a notch above its predecessor. I personally consider this presentation more realistic than speakers with front-row, pin-point imaging on, but this can also vary by recording. The X-Tube hollow technology is added. The current in the cable can be more uniform distributed, reducing the inductance and providing a uniform current load for the amplifier. The sound retains more details and natural. Resonating speaker cabinets can have a particularly nasty impact on the sound, as they color all the music you play through the speaker. You want resonances when playing a guitar, but on a speaker, they usually just tell you you’re listening to a pair of boxes rather than live music.
Lastly, you can also see the speaker’s solid bass extension here; Q Acoustics’ claim of -6dB at 46Hz seems honest. In a typical room, which will reinforce the bass, you should get a decent amount of sub-bass too. The vocals shine. It’s a full mid-range that’s direct without being too forward; emotional without being insistent or hogging the spotlight. I assumed that the bass would be the headline effect from the 3030i speakers. Not now, it appeared. As it is, in my living room, which is large (5.85m x 6.2m) I've got a pair of MA Silver 8is for stereo duty, and for AV I've got RXFX and an RS-LCR - all helped out at the bottom end by a BK-Elec XXLS-400DF - which if I really want some grunt I can use with the 8is
Another key technology is Air Gap dielectric, leaving some gaps between the wires to increase the amount of air between the conductors, reducing the transmission loss and the capacitance in the wire by half. It is helpful for the accuracy of music in terms of time and rhythm. And yes, the edgy and aggressive nature of the upper mids and treble remained on this album. You couldn’t get away from that. Nevertheless, the bass did cushion that effect to reduce the nasty elements and reduced listening fatigue to a minimum. If you’re looking for a serious set of speakers with a limited budget, look no further.Compared to their predecessors, the 3020i are noticeably more precise. The sound is more detailed. While the original 3020 speakers didn’t display any trouble in that department, these new units just sound more eloquent. It’s a little easier to tell the production values apart in different songs.
