I'm a mountain biker and don't have any experience with the road side of things. Figure I'd use a 1x11, 42/10-42 drivetrain, but I'd like the ability to switch down to a smaller cassette (can you do that on an XD driver?). New, optimized design with a large friction surface for more braking power and less brake fading. The newly designed aluminum spider with 7-point mount of the friction ring also ensures better heat dissipation and lower weight. I don't like the large 11T to 13T jump at the top end of the cassette, as explained before here.
