About this deal

Maybe not the “too fast” part, as Alex Volkov had stolen my heart, bit by bit, over the years, even before I thought I liked him.❞ I really liked the fact that Ava’s brother did not forgive Alex at the end. Honestly, I thought that was very realistic considering Alex’s betrayal of their friendship and the way he manipulated both Josh and Ava. I also found that aspect quite refresh since it leaves their friendship open for further development later on in the series (in Josh and Jules’ book).

A bit of context. The relationship between Jules and Josh has been hinted since book 1, where their banter and 'hate' is an obvious throw to one of the oldest tropes in romance: enemies-to-lovers. In this case, though, Jules and Josh truly *truly* despise each other. Jules is Josh's sister's best friend. He thinks Jules is a terrible influence on his sister. When this book begins, Josh and Jules are in their usual status quo of throwing verbal daggers at each other. Life throws them together when they both start work at the same clinic and that's when they enter into the truce that would eventually lead to them being together. just say youre a furry and move along jeez. how can he say this and ava not be shitting her pants laughing?? However, I HAVE TO MENTION the best trope of all. The one that brought tears to my eyes. The "I AM NOT LIKE OTHER GUYS!!!!!" but I will talk exactly like Christian Grey every time I get the chance. (so he kind is like one guy)Outgoing and ambitious, Jules Ambrose is a former party girl who's focused on one thing: passing the attorney's bar exam. while I thought the first third of the book was pretty boring, I liked the rest of it much better when Jules and Josh opened up a little and they had some very cute scenes together. My fav one is when Jules mother died and she flew home, at the sa Ava Chen's brother is leaving for Central America to study medicine. Being the overprotective older brother he is, he puts Ava under the care and protection of Alex Volkov, his best friend. While Alex and Ava may not have the best relationship, the two begin to see more about each other as they spend more time together. Ava is cheerful and optimistic, while Alex is cold and has a heart made out of stone, but the two find out there is more to each other. While their feelings for each other grows within each day they spend together, their secrets are always lurking behind them, especially Alex, and it's only a matter of time until Alex will have to tell Ava everything. That is if he does it on time. Her past was definitely an interesting twist I didn’t see coming but I liked that she wasn’t this goody-two-shoes kind of girl. Is Twisted Hate a Standalone Book?

I feel like one will either love these books or absolutely hate them. The tropes in these books are so specific that I can see why some people hate them - Brother's Best Friend, Best friend's Brother, Neighbours, Forced Proximity, Grumpy Sunshine, Billionaire, College Romance, You Touch Her You Die, Mafia Romance, Alpha Male. If any of these tropes sound unappealing to you, then this series might not be for you. If you do like these tropes, you will probably love this series. i respectfully don't care enough about the plot to go into details about it, but if you must know, it was very poorly executed and i did not care one bit for anything that was going on.It's stated on the blurb, and it's been stated by the author, but PLEASE, if you are not into possessive and jealous alphaholes who claim their partner and call her a "slut" or "whore" in bed, this is definitely one you want to stay away from. No cheating or menage, but if you're looking for a traditionally sweet, lovable hero, this is not the book for you. (From the blurb). I loved Alex and Ava’s relationship. It was so fun to see Alex slowly fall in love with Ava throughout the book. The groveling was the perfect amount. Everything was just 🤌 chef’s kiss. May have been the shortest book in the series, but it was a good one. the banter, the chemistry, and the sex made up for the weird plot and long length so i choose a good balanced neutral 3 stars. like switzerland.

Theirs is a match made in hell, and when the demons from their past catch up with them, they're faced with truths that could either save them… Alex, our main character. CEO, billionaire, with an IQ of 190, hates beer, he is not scared of anything, not even bears. Won't kiss during sex, because he hates intimacy. He hates birthdays because everyone has one. He thinks everyone wants him for his magnificent shlong. He has been controlling his family's company since he was 14, because he was always knew he would be CEO one day and his uncle would listen to his 14 YEAR OLD DEMANDS. He also slut shames his own friends. Everyone told me this would be the best one but I didn’t like it for some reason. I wasn’t expecting to like it tbh cuz Stella didn’t seem interesting in the other books. Also Christian was unnecessarily stalker ish i was not into him at all.

Customer reviews

Synopsis: Jules Ambrose has been the only woman that Dr. Josh Chen could not manage to conquer, a fact that pissed him off to no end. Meanwhile, she shared similar sentiments of hatred towards him. To get her out of his system, in a fit of rage, he proposed an "enemies with benefits" arrangement whereby they could have unapologetic sex with no strings attached. However, nothing could prepare them for the feelings they'd develop for each other down the road. My favourite book is Twisted Games. I love the story of Bridget and Rhys, and I believe that the storyline in that book was better written than the other three books. Bridget and Rhys's story is easy to follow due to the time jumps in the book. I love the ending of the book but feel that the ending of Twisted Love was slightly better. i wanted to be nice to this book just because of how unintentionally hilarious and satirical it was, but then he sang and all of that was out the window. She's the strongest and has faced a lot in her life without losing her strength, fire, and courage, and she deserves each and every good thing happening to her! The last thing she needs is to get involved with a doctor who puts the SUFFER in insufferable . . . no matter how good-looking he is.

Name the trope, you get it: Best friend's sister? "Touch her and I'll kill you"? "I hate everyone but you"? Morally gray possessive/jealous alphahole? Interracial relationship? Groveling? Sunshine heroine and grumpy hero? And even a hint of a "one-bed" trope? Take my money, Ana Huang, take it.I have reviewed each book in the series separately as well, feel free to read those if you want more details on why I rated the characters as I have. Book Three of the interconnected-standalone Twisted series by TikTok sensation, Ana Huang. A steamy enemies-to-lovers romance where rules are meant to be broken… A self-professed travel enthusiast, she loves incorporating beautiful destinations into her stories and will never say no to a good chai latte. I thought you were better at following directions, Sunshine,” he said silkily. “Didn’t I tell you not to make a sound?” A diverse steamy enemies-to-lovers romance from New York Times bestselling author and BookTok sensation Ana Huang.
