Mars Hydro is well known for their best in class grow lights and is a staple in a lot of growers’ toolboxes. Considering the cost of these grow lights, the ability to maintain strong intensity at the edges of the coverage area is pretty impressive because the light from most other cheap LED grow lights tend to drop off long before the edge of their respective coverage area.Since 2009, Mars Hydro has been a leading supplier of grow lighting and indoor growing supplies. In addition to its lighting equipment, it offers a full range of grow tents, ventilation systems, drip kits, hydroponic systems, smart gardening technology, and more. I recently tested the Mars Hydro TS1000 LED grow light on my own houseplant collection. The higher number of LEDs on these larger Mars Hydro TS Series grow lights are able to get the intensity up to 1160 uMols at 15 inches, or 900 uMol at 18 inches. That’s approximately enough intensity to get near maximum yield out of your cannabis plants. The TSW-2000 was made for 3×3 foot grow spaces, but if you’re looking for some extra power in your 2×2 foot space you can use it there as well. This means you won’t have to replace them as frequently, saving you money in the long run. How much can you yield with this light? Mars Hydro says you’ll get up to 1.5g/watt from the TS Series grow lights. Keep in mind there are a lot of factors that affect plant growth, so these are approximations. Spectrum and Light Intensity:The on/off and dimmer controls were easy to reach and operate on top of the housing. Although I only tested a single light, shoppers interested in the daisy-chain function will want to take note that the whole daisy chain can be conveniently controlled using the dimmer on the first light in the chain. Is the Mars Hydro TS1000 grow light good quality? Efficient: It is also very efficient with 2.3 μmol/J. Compared to an HPS/MH, this is 30% more photon efficient.
