About this deal

In some episode in the ninth series: Edward, James, Henry, Gordon, Thomas, Percy and Emily. In the episodes Thomas and the Golden Eagle, Thomas' Day Off and Thomas' Milkshake Muddle, Thomas and Percy are swapped around but all other characters remain the same.

Vitriolic Best Buds: Despite how he treats Edward and Henry in the past, Gordon couldn't take it when they were moving away from him due to them being transferred to other parts of Sodor.Tidmouth Sheds is one of only two locations to appear in every series of Thomas & Friends, the other being Gordon's Hill. The sheds first appeared in the first series episode Thomas and Gordon, which first aired in 1984. Its last appearance was in the twenty-fourth series episode Nia's Bright Idea, which was released in 2020. As you can see, this is a rough treatment/planning of the Sheds on Sodor. If I ever plan to make a totally whole-new layout (which I probably might), then chances are I should include this revised bad-boy in it as well. Normally, I go into the more grown-up detailed stuff, but for the sake of my wallet, this is what I am opting for. Hand-operated accessories are a tradition and that is something I love, and if your layout is like this, then good on you! This is the sort of layout that kids appeal to. They get entranced by this sort and this is like the training wheels of owning a layout and having all the responsibilities like having a dog and such, only different. Fire-Forged Friends: Gordon was rude to Nia at first, but after some honest discussion, they become friends. A shortened version of the episode, narrated by Joseph May as Thomas, can be found on the official YouTube channel.

While the sheds are primarily used by the Main Line engines, Donald, Douglas and various engines from the Ffarquhar, Brendam and Arlesburgh branch lines - alongside several visiting engines from the Mainland - have also been known to stay here. As such, who stays at the shed frequently changes between stories. For ease of reading, this list contains only engines which are (or were previously) allocated to the shed on a permanent basis.Double-sided wooden playset styled like the classic Tidmouth Sheds from the Thomas & Friends series

This episode aired before Big World! Big Adventures! was released in Germany and South Korea, meaning the audience would not know who Nia is. When Nia speaks to Gordon in the sheds about changes, Edward can be seen in two shots on the left. But when Nia reverses out of the shed, Edward suddenly becomes Percy. The next morning, Edward meets Phillip, who says how fun it was that Edward slept at his shed, and then starts talking obnoxiously about it. Edward leaves as soon as the the signal goes green, making Philip a little sad. That night, Edward sleeps at the Steamworks. He manages to doze off, but suddenly woken up as Victor, Kevin, and the workmen are repairing James. Edward leaves the Steamworks. He tries sleeping on a ship, but is awoken by the ship's horn and sea water splashes on his boiler. He then tries sleeping at Ulfstead Mine, but then the men start blasting. He finally tries sleeping in the forest, but can't get to sleep because of owls hooting multiple times. The next morning, Edward is very tired. He falls asleep as he pulls into Knapford. He is about to collide into Percy, but Philip wakes him up with his horn. He thanked Philip and Philip says that it's sad that Edward does not like sleeping in his shed. Edward says he likes sleeping there, but needed sleep because of Philip talking. Philip apologises and asks Edward to sleep in his shed tonight. He promised not to talk. That night, Edward falls asleep. Philip is about to wake him, but remembers not to talk during that time.

Tropes:

Series 7 - Emily's New Coaches, Percy Gets it Right, What's the Matter with Henry?, James and the Queen of Sodor, The Spotless Record, Something Fishy, Best Dressed Engine and Gordon and Spencer It wasn't until Calling All Engines!, where the old Tidmouth Sheds was demolishedand then rebuilt with an extra berth, that Emily then joined the others at Tidmouth sheds. Big "NO!": Gordon screams "NOOOOOOO!" at the end of the episode when Nia informs him of a new engine sleeping Henry's empty berth (who later turns out to be Rebecca).

Although they do not appear until Gordon the High-Speed Engine, the new sheds from the later books were actually present since 1952, as in Thomas' Christmas Party it mentions the new engine shed and according to the Reverend W. Awdry, they were the most accurate in The Island of Sodor: Its People, History and Railways, indicating the old shed up until James and the Diesel Engines was inaccurate. A bronze statue of the original Steam Team members and Sir Topham Hatt is situated in a park close to Abbey station.Jerkass: Gordon acts like this to Nia due to her replacing Edward in the sheds. They eventually become friends though. Impairment Shot: The close-up of Edward struggling to stay awake as he enters Knapford Junction the following day. Though largely based on the television series, the My Thomas Story Library books often illustrate Tidmouth Sheds based on its original pre-1952 appearance in The Railway Series.
