Based on the first book in the Gray Man series by Mark Greaney, the plot of the film unfolds as the CIA’s most skilled mercenary, Sierra Six (Ryan Gosling), aka the Gray Man, accidentally uncovers dark agency secrets and must flee a global manhunt led by his psychopathic former colleague Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans). The Gray Man is rated PG-13. PG-13 rating means some material may not be suitable for children. Parents are urged to give "parental guidance". May contain some material parents might not like for their young children. 6.5 Naturally, the first movie departed from the source material, and the second won’t be an exception, but we know at least the general direction of the story. Ryan Gosling plays Six, the most skilled person working for the CIA, who begins to uncover dark secrets that are being kept from him. Now trying to survive with a bounty on his head, and hunted by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), there is never a dull moment. I say there aren't any dull moments here, but that's only due to the fun action set pieces. There are a lot of action scenes to go along with this premise and most of them are very well-done. For that reason alone I had a lot of fun, but the film itself is very average as a whole. It's a very generic story that doesn't take any risks or give any huge surprises, but I enjoyed the characters and the action enough to want to return for a sequel. Certainly not a bad movie, and the action is actually quite enjoyable.. or the movie is at least a lot more enjoyable than the attempts at movies that Netflix has done recently.Chris Evans is ready for action in The Gray Man.
