[4] Future [ edit ] I have to stay this series is utterly engrossing, particularly Jamie Dornan's performance. For me there were tinges of Hannibal Lectre esque style in the series with Jamie and Hannibal being quite charismatic in nature and both hiding in plain sight, (ie. Hannibal as a Forensic Psychiatrist and Spector being a Grief Counsellor) both having a high IQ and both having layered multifaceted personality and lifestyle traits. The opening scene of The Fall was fantastic; the music, imagery and slow motion effect added to it's beauty and make us anxious to see - what's next? We're taken to a hospital where a young girl named Alexandria, her hand in a cast, writes a note for a nurse and throws it to her out of a window. But the note goes inside the window of a patient and the young girl goes to retrieve it. In doing so, she meets a man who tells her about her name and begins a story that captivates her. He weaves a tale so exciting and beguiling, the young girl gets caught up in it. Soon after, we begin to see his true motive. It's brilliantly colorful with a fairy tale like quality and the plot is quite jarring for such a young girl. But none-the-less, it's makes for a great script and a greater ending. And it's emotional, too. Very different and out of the ordinary. The children enjoyed it and so did the adults. A very unique film. Enjoy. Read full review a b Plunkett, John (24 September 2014).
