About this deal

It’s refreshing to see a male protagonist who is not believed or taken seriously when warning others about the danger they face – which often mirrors our own real-life experiences – even if it does add an extra layer of tension and disbelief as readers are forced to question whether or not Ed is right in his assumptions about Ryan or if he’s going mad with paranoia. This part is usually filled by a ‘neurotic woman’ who is convinced she is correct. Here we see it filled by a man who thinks he is losing his mind instead! Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go! introduce first autistic character to the series with Bruno the Brake car The book takes you on Ed’s journey to find this out and how his own life takes a steep downward turn as he tries to prove what he feels

Bestselling author TM Logan was a national newspaper journalist before turning to novel-writing full time. His thrillers have sold more than 750,000 copies in the UK and are published in 19 countries around the world including the USA, South Korea, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, Romania and the Netherlands. Madison and the babysitter talked about how one can trust God when it seems like everything is going wrong and when loved ones died. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I recommend this exciting suspense novel. This is slow burn, exhilarating drama gets under your skin, alluring you with its layered, flawed characters, taking you to journey with Ellie: a struggling journalist, working at the bottom, making wrong choices in her life to sabotage her own happiness. The Catch is about fisherman Ed (Watkins) whose family life spirals out of control with the arrival of his daughter's suspicious new boyfriend. Ed finds himself going to excessive lengths to keep his family safe - and together. Thank you Random House, and NetGalley, for the chance to read The Catch by Alison Fairbrother. This is a thoughtful, character driven story with strong writing and elegant narrative development; Ellie, early twenties, is coping with the unexpected and sudden loss of her father and trying to understand why her father bequeathed a beloved object to someone unknown to her and her half siblings and step mother (baseball, emblematic of a lot of aspects of Ellie's father and her relationship with him). At the same time she is on this journey the reader is also invited to be a part of Ellie's own development, her struggles as a young journalist, her romantic strains, and her own movement as an independent young adult but one with complex family ties.

On whether viewers are right to be suspicious of his character Ryan, actor Aneurin Barnard told What To Watch "I love messing with an audience’s perception of what they think they know and there’s a lot of discovering to do, good and bad. It’ll be interesting to see which route you take as a viewer, and who you trust and when. I see Ed as a man who’s in the grip of mental health turmoil. This has a ripple effect on everyone around him and the reactions are fascinating."You’ve played an extensive array of characters, from British PM Harold Wilson in The Crown to a serial killer’s biographer in ITV drama Des . What’s next? This father of the bride has some bad vibes about his 23 year old daughter's fiance, Ryan. He starts "googling" on Ryan because he just can't shake the feeling. When he looks at Ryan, his eyes are like "points of darkness". This had the same high intensity, and left me wanting to know what happens next and if anything I thought it was slightly better than The holiday Ed’s on a journey with Claire because he has a secret which he has never shared with her, and he fears being honest will destroy her. He’s perceived as being closed off because he’s also bottling up all his feelings about Josh. No wonder Claire is frustrated, and their marriage is really in trouble."

Smart, successful and handsome, Ryan appears to be a real catch. Then Abbie announces their plan to get married.

Ellie will go to the ends of the earth to seek answers as to why she was not left the baseball, and to also try to understand the meaning of what she did receive. By so doing, Ellie's journey raises more questions than answers. In fact, she wonders if she even knew her father. This is the third and final book in the US Marshals series. It could be read as a standalone, but you’ll get a richer experience by reading all three books. Fairbrother’s debut is characterized by itselegant yet comfortable prose—readers will feel at home with Ellie as if experiencing the story’s events along with her. Themystery drives the plot, but Ellie’s personal growth is the heart of the novel. . . . Thislayered coming-of-age story will appeal to fans of Jennifer E. Smith’s The Unsinkable Greta James (2022).” — Booklist
