About this deal

So Toyama ( Pokémon movies) is directing the anime and writing the screenplay. Tomomi Shimazaki ( Elegant Yokai Apartment Life) is designing the characters. East Fish Studio and Synergy SP are producing the anime. Pony Canyon is distributing.

A social network game titled Ten Count: Another Days for Ameba was announced on December 15, 2017, [18] and it was launched for Ameba users on March 22, 2018. [19] Shinnosuke Tachibana and Tomoaki Maeno reprised their roles from the drama CD. [18] The game also introduced new original characters, Shiki Natsuya and Masaya Fuwa, who are voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Takuya Sato. [20] The game ended services on November 29, 2019. With number 10 on the list left blank by an undecided Shirotani, Kurose issues a challenge. Once Shirotani figures out the last item, the thing he would hate to do the most, only then will his newfound counselor finally tell him the truth. [Written by MAL Rewrite] The first time I read this manga, I was reading another shounen-ai story which is more engrossing and oh-so beautiful (I'll be re-reading that series again and posting a review some time in the coming months), so I easily put this down since it's only a casual read, especially when I reached at least ten chapters or so and I found the sudden shift into the sex a bit jarring and admittedly quite offensive.Natalie (in Japanese). 2017-12-28. The beginning of Ten Count sets ground for a great psychological yaoi playspace. Shirotani, the “uke” main character, is older, put together, but traumatized; he is a client for the therapist “seme”, which puts him in a protected position. The whole situation is ambiguous, it’s unclear whether the goal is to help him or to groom him, which adds to the thrill. Though, by the way, I would also call this the most questionable part of the manga. Rapey yaoi, which Ten Count also belongs to, is many and habitual, but problematizing therapy is new and dangerous. This is porn, but it's important to talk about mental health with care. Also, early on *somewhat spoilers* he asks Shirotani to be his friend as well as specifically tells him not to go to the clinic. My impression is that he doesn’t want their relationship found out by his employers because he could be fired. Shirotani does later go to the clinic, but it has nothing to do with therapy, so their relationship seems safe. Of course, their relationship itself is not so secret….but as I said the clinic should still not know that he is acting as his therapist. *end of spoilers*. To be honest, I'd buy Takarai Rihito's manga sight unseen, so. I like the way the story is unfolding so far, and I am already looking forward to whatever's coming next. The art is very pretty, as usual, and both Shirotani and Kurose are very intriguing characters. And as I mentioned before, I like that she was aware making Kurose Shirotani's official therapist would have been problematic, to say the least. I always like when it's obvious the mangaka think about things like this.

Kurose is the seme, and the "s" of the relationship. He is a psychiatrist (or psychologist) who, seemingly for no reason, decides to take on Shirotani, and help him recover. We do learn later why he is drawn to those with the condition, but I won't spoil it here. While he can seem pushy at times, as you see Shirotani's thoughts, you begin to realise that really, he kind of knows what's up, which is definitely proven later on.

Natalie (in Japanese). 2017-12-15. Archived from the original on 2019-10-23 . Retrieved 2019-10-23. The story in a nutshell is that Shirotani suffers from a severe case of mysophobia (the fear of germs). He can’t remember when or why the phobia began (which I infer will be a later plot device *I can’t wait!*), but he has never felt that it was a problem that he needed to solve. Instead, he just adapts his lifestyle around the problem, for example walking to school and work instead of riding public trains. Because of an accident involving his employer, Shirotani meets Kurose, a child therapist. Kurose soon offers to try and cure Shirotani of his problem by exposer therapy, where he exposes himself to 10 different things that he finds difficult to do. I have nothing but lovely things to say about the presentation of Shirotani's phobia, but I have mixed feelings about Kurose’s role as a counselor. I ellaborate on these further on. Yes, in TV series some scenes are removed or omitted and then added on Blu ray discs. This practicse is quite common. Not only scenes, but also redrawings and error corrections. Viz Media's SuBLime imprint licensed the manga in English in 2015 and shipped the sixth and final volume in December 2018.

Casi que mejor no sigáis leyendo xD The true treasure is, of course, the topic of mysophobia. Not only it is rare in manga, which can attract many sympathetic readers, it’s also a perfect fetish for yaoi with poor consent standards, because a mysophobe is necessary mindful of touch, follows a set of rituals, and there’s the possibility of increased sensitivity, explored in Ten Count in form of Shirotani’s skin being damaged from overwashing. Basically, you get a character who remembers where and when he is touched with ridiculous scrupulousness and meltdowns because of it. It’s a lot to play with!

I read it 3 times. Every time I read it, I realize something new. It really is a poignant story. Not because of the porn. But because of the painful, ordinary conversations between people that make you cry. My favorite scenes are Kurose's past, the 'Please don't throw me away' scene, 'I guess your tears are contagious' scene, Nishigaki scene, and their beautiful first kiss.Ten Count V6 (Final Volume)". SuBLime. Archived from the original on July 22, 2018 . Retrieved July 21, 2018. As I said before, I didn't like the coercion the first time I read this manga, but after re-reading it, for the characters, it makes sense. Because from the first volume itself, Shirotani's heart races every time they meet. I think the author was trying to show that if he really didn't want to push his boundaries, he wouldn't be with someone who says he can't control himself around him. I also really enjoyed reading about their troubled pasts. It was messy, uncomfortable and very sad which is how life is. I found it very realistic.
