About this deal

Thankfully TaylorMade have reduced the length of the shaft by half an inch to 46 inches so even though it feels long, it is much more manageable and that will mean more accuracy.

Finally got out to the range after getting these bad boys in on Friday. My first impression of them is that they look really sharp. The graphics and design really stand out and really give these clubs a cool, modern look. The high launch 3-wood is almost 4-wood like in loft, but also produces a powerful flight. The flight with the standard 3-wood is almost driver-like in flight, and in the run it produces. The Cobra King Tour irons have been proven on the PGA Tour already and will be in bags of better amateur players this year. The previous King Tour MIM irons were very underrated and offered great precision with a solid shape that many players liked. Cobra went away from the Metal Injection Molded construction and went with a five-step forging process for soft and solid feel. Secondly, the Softs, the 3-piece model with 70 compression and green numbering - these felt nice in the hand. Is anyone able to share their experiences with this specific ball? These yearly releases contain incremental improvements from the year prior, and tend to offer something for every type of player. For the last decade, TaylorMade has released iron sets alongside their yearly metalwood sets, such as the newest Stealth lineup. You could almost set a watch to it.

Data Summary

All three TaylorMade balls get very high marks for durability. For all the testing (which includes a lot of shots, including plenty of wedges), I only used one sleeve of each ball. Even after the testing, the balls used are pretty much unmarked, and I will definitely use them to play. Specs: Cover – Iothane; Construction – Three-piece; Core – High-speed; Dimples – 360 in LDP (Low-Drag Performance) pattern The last five years have really shown the innovation at TaylorMade. Mostly through improvements of popular models. The uber popular, and high performing P790 debuted in 2017, and has gone through internal and external changes. These changes are making them even longer and more forgiving.

There are two other irons in the P-Series, the P730, and P7TW - both Tour level blades with the P730s in the bags of some of the best players in the world including Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy. As the name suggests, the P7TW irons were made with heavy involvement from Tiger Woods and helped him to his 15th Major (The Masters, 2019) as well as an 82nd PGA Tour Victory at the Zozo Championship. There are also second-hand TaylorMade iron sets for the game improver with their iron offering. For each driver model, they release an accompanying set of irons. These irons follow the same game improvement footprint, which has been largely unchanged for years - wide sole, low weight, high launch, and strong lofts. Everything in these clubs is geared towards making the game easier and more enjoyable. It also means less weight and the combination of a light head, shaft and grip makes this is a light club at under 300 grams. The lie is also down a degree and a half and combined with the shorter shaft length you feel much more comofrtable over the ball. The M1 wasn’t a great performer for me. Same height as the M2, but much straighter off the club face. Didn’t get any great distance advantage as compared to my D300. Can’t game a player’s iron anymore, and testing this one just reaffirmed that. I decided on the TW737-Vs because I wanted the extra performance and forgiveness. Honma built a 3-11 iron set, standard length, 0.5-degrees upright with Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound grips and two wraps of tape. I’ve even had some success hitting the long irons, especially off the tee. I was surprised at the distance I was getting, especially with the 4-iron, however, it does have 20 degrees of loft. Does that mean I’ll ditch my 7 wood? Not just yet, because for the most part I hit it really well. However, I’ll keep working with the 4 iron and see where it takes me. Either my golf swing is getting better, or it’s all about the technology, or a little bit of both. Bottom Line: The entire TW737 line boasts impressive specs and looks. The TW737-Vs, with their slightly larger shape and stronger lofts, could be perfect for the player ready to move from game-improvement irons to better players irons or for those those looking for more forgiveness in a forged set. Overview

I know this accounts for the distance gain but the ball definitely comes off hot compared to my set. I was hoping I would hit the M1 better since I like the appearance better, but that was not the case. The M2 definitely felt better for me and I felt more confident with it in my hands.Introduced in January 2012, the RBZ welcomed a sibling the following year in the RBZ Urethane. The newer ball is designed for softer feel, added spin and improved short game performance. I've never known a golf ball manufacturer to release a golf ball with the same name but in two different structures. This is very misleading and people could end up with people buying a ball they weren't expecting (i.e. 2-pc vs 3-pc, 60 compression vs 70 compression). This is the same story for the **Taylormade RBZ Speed** golf balls too.
