About this deal

As we’ll discuss later, the weight and feel of this club may not be for everyone, but the ones who can utilize it love it!

At Scottsdale Golf, we like to pride ourselves on offering golfers from all across the world the biggest selection of custom-fit options in their new golf equipment. Standard Options I suggest you refrain from tinkering with the loft excessively, as it impacts your face angle and can alter your length, trajectory, and launch. However, it is handy if you are trying to identify the correct profile for your swing. I love the design and it transferred into my performance. My indoor testing gave me hope as my ball speed was up but spin seemed low. TM was definitely one of the major players to conduct research behind the scenes with carbon over the next two decades, all the while producing wildly popular and hugely successful titanium designs. It wasn’t until 2018 that carbon was viewed internally as a potential titanium replacement. The longest carry I had was 219 yards which I was very happy with, this ball speed and distance was not at the expense of my dispersion. There was just 8 feet of curve on average in my shots.

Black Friday Sneak Peek! 🕵️‍

As expected from a premium, modern construction, the new Stealth driver contains an adjustable loft sleeve. The MyStealth Plus program builds upon the MySIM2 with new areas to customize, including the 60-layer Carbon Twist Face. The TaylorMade engineers have worked extremely hard to create a bright and powerful sound, and they have succeeded. Fellow golfers may say “Wow! Look at that driver” but they aren’t going to say “What the hell is that it noise?” Besides encouraging accurate tee shots, the Stealth delivered a consistently high launch and optimal spin and ball speed. Its optimal approach to leniency works for the average golfer looking to preserve yardage without ending out of bounds on each shot. The two most significant downsides are its price and shaft. Though, for some, these may be benefits. It’s Pricey Source: mbgolf.ltd

However, the added forgiveness, low spin, and added accuracy were crafted into this driver with great intention, and the benefits outweigh the cons! The ball flight looked lower and flatter, meaning that the carry dropped by 10 yards in my good strike and 15 in my bad strike. In fact the difference between my good Stealth strike and good Stealth Plus strike outside was 15 yards total, which is a lot. The club head is made from a lightweight titanium alloy, which helps to maximize distance and accuracy. The clubface also has a large sweet spot, making it easier to hit straight shots. The club head also has a larger size, designed to increase forgiveness on off-center shots. The TaylorMade Stealth Driver range employs a 60x Carbon Twist Face which is 44% lighter than an equivalent titanium face. It is also 11% larger than the face of the Sim 2 driver and an astonishing 20% larger than the clubface found on the original Sim driver. The clubface of the Stealth driver has been constructed with sixty layers of carbon fibre – all strategically designed to optimise energy transfer and increase ball speeds over the largest possible area. This has resulted in a range of drivers that produce incredible distance combined with a level of forgiveness that blows everything else out of the water. The carbon face is encased by a polyurethane cover which features an innovative nanotexture technology which serves to fine tune launch and spin and optimises total distance regardless of the conditions you are playing in.For the last 20 years, Titanium was all the rage, but TaylorMade have always known that every material has a limit. So, they started pushing the boundaries and now they're leaving the old race behind to begin a completely new one. A race that drives beyond the here and now to raise the bar for what's possible. Furthermore, the asymmetric inertia generator allowed the engineers to place a weight on the rear of the driver’s clubhead. You’ll find that this increases the offset of the driver and its moment of inertia (MOI) to encourage straighter shots. Additionally, all golf clubs have a calibration period. This one, as light as it is, will take a little getting used to. Do you have a critical golf tournament or a leisurely golf schedule with a client you want to impress here soon? You may not have time to get used to this club, making it feel like a waste of money (though it’s definitely not!). I wasn’t as consistent as with the standard model as I missed more left and found the face a little easier to turn, but this is a compliment to its workability I suppose. There was a 21 foot curve compared to 8 feet in the Stealth.

The release of a new range of TaylorMade metal woods is always something that creates a lot of excitement throughout the golfing world, and with good reason. They have consistently pushed technology forwards, squeezing every possible available yard out of their drivers within the boundaries of the rules. The industry leading performance of the Sim & Sim 2 range made them an incredibly popular choice - not only in the golf bags of amateurs of every skill level but also in the bags of the best players in the world. They were so good that many within the golf industry questioned how TaylorMade could produce a new model that offered any further performance benefits. Custom wedges, putters and golf balls are everywhere you look. But what about custom drivers? In the last few years, major manufacturers have added a new level of customization to the longest club in the bag. For TaylorMade, that level of customization commenced last year with the introduction of MySIM2 — a program that allowed golfers to personalize every aspect of the driver, down to the face tuning pins. TaylorMade engineers took advantage of the lightweight carbon material by creating a 26 gram face, which is 40% lighter than a titanium face of equivalent size. Because of this weight saving the Stealth face can be made 11% larger than SIM2 and SIM2 Max drivers and nearly 20% larger than the 2020 SIM driver. The Feel of the Stealth driver is a double-edged sword. It impressed me and frustrated me simultaneously. I enjoyed its ability to reduce vibrations felt on off-center shots and shield my hands. However, the feeling was too muted, like I was hitting an airball. Forgiveness We’re sunsetting the entire technology that brought us to the game, which is metalwoods,” Bystedt said. “It’s going to be goodbye. We started this and now we’re killing it.”Tiger’s quote at the PNC says a lot to me, he play the Stealth Plus “because the CG is moved forward so I am able to curve it more, and you guys know that I’ve always been a player that likes to work the ball. I didn’t like having just one shot. The driver set up we had for Augusta allowed me to draw the golf ball. But when I hit the cut, it was really short. I don’t have that difference anymore. They are very similar which is huge. And hey you’ve got to love the colour." The details: A carbon-fiber face replaces the titanium construction we’ve come to expect from nearly every driver on the market. TaylorMade, on the other hand, found significant benefits in a new material construction. Reducing the face weight by 40 percent allowed designers to increase the face size by 11 percent (versus SIM2) and add weight to the body to maximize the transfer of momentum at impact by positioning more mass behind the face for a higher COR. This could be significant for golf equipment and TaylorMade are trail-blazers, I felt we were at a dead end with drivers in terms of distance and speed but is this a new horizon?
