About this deal

We want to help you create a wardrobe of timeless handmade classics that you’ll wear again and again. We celebrate women of all shapes and sizes and embrace diversity. Our all-female team has a can-do attitude to both sewing and life. The Nicole Dress sewing pattern is aimed at Intermediate sewists, but we think Confident Beginners would be able to manage by using a stable cotton fabric and opting for the short sleeve version. Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, poplin, rayon, viscose, crepe, linen and shirting fabric. Eve works beautifully in lightweight woven fabrics with some drape, such as rayon, viscose, crepe and georgette. Less experienced sewers could try a lightweight cotton such as lawn or voile. With minimal seams it makes the perfect dress for showing off those big bold prints.

As easy to wear as it is to sew, Ravello is a wrap dress and top with four variations! Choose from maxi or knee-length for the dress and hip-height or waisted for the top. The Nicole Dress is an Intermediate woven shirt dress sewing pattern. Made in a stable cotton fabric with the short sleeve, it would be achievable for Confident Beginners. Understated and sleek, variation 2 features a more contemporary silhouette, with narrow elbow-length sleeves and a level knee-length hem. Elegant and wearable year-round, it’s a great wardrobe staple; a sure-fire go-to for Friday evening post-work drinks. The 1940’s Tea Dress works best in lightweight fabrics with lots of drape. Think rayon challis, viscose, georgette, silk and satin. We recommend avoiding anything too crisp, such as cotton, as it doesn’t have the required drape. Eve is a versatile wrap dress with endless potential. With two stunning variations creating completely different looks, there’s so much fun to be had with this pattern! Whether you go boho romantic for summer garden parties or sleek and elegant for everyday, the Eve Dress will keep you dressed up in style.

With lots of fabric options, Lizzie is incredibly versatile and makes a wonderful pattern to see you through all seasons. Make her in a lovely crisp cotton lawn for summer, or a lightweight wool for a warm winter skirt. Starting a business in 2011, in the middle of an economic downturn, turned out to be perfect timing. The recession revived interest in handmade and crafts and made people want something that lasted rather than fast fashion. The name Sew Over It is a reference to Lisa’s frustration at the throwaway attitude to clothing. The Ultimate Shift Dress is an extremely versatile pattern when it comes to fabric. Most light or medium weight woven fabrics, such as cotton, linen, rayon, viscose, wool, crepe or even silk (if you’re feeling adventurous!) will work. Just remember that slippery fabrics are harder to sew! The Eve Dress comes in UK sizes 6-30. See the chart for details on fabric requirements. The dress also requires 1.5-2m of cotton stay tape. The Lizzie Skirt sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.

Make Nicole in a viscose or crepe fabric for a fluid look, or choose a cotton poplin, cotton lawn or linen for a more structured style. For the Ella Blouse we recommend lightweight woven fabrics with lots of drape, such as viscose, georgette and lightweight crepes. For more beginner stitchers, it would also look lovely in a lightweight cotton such as lawn or voile. Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

The pattern contains full instructions with beautifully illustrated diagrams to help you along, but if you need an extra helping hand don’t forget you can find our 1940’s Tea Dress Sewalong on the blog! There is plenty of scope with Lizzie when it comes to fabric choices. For beginners, we recommend a light to medium weight stable woven fabric such as cotton poplin, lawn or broderie anglaise. Intermediate and advanced sewers could try a jacquard, lightweight wool, suiting, or something with more drape such as a medium weight crepe. For the lining we recommend a cotton lawn for Summer, or satin or acetate lining fabric if you want to wear tights with your skirt. Never used a PDF pattern before and would like some help? The best way to learn to sew is… well… by sewing. Once you’ve got your sewing machine you’ll need to get it threaded and ready to use. Threading your machine may seem like a huge challenge, but once you know the simple steps you’ll be doing it like a pro in no time! The Ella Blouse is a pretty waist-length top that wraps across the front and secures in place with ties. The two front edges gently pleat into the tie at the waist for a beautiful detail, and the 3/4 length grown-on sleeves are nice and easy to sew. On the inside, the blouse is neatly finished with facings. This pattern is the perfect project for beginner, intermediate and advanced sewists alike – a versatile wardrobe piece that is both simple and interesting to sew. We’ve given you the choice of two sleeve styles to make this a pattern that can serve you from spring all the way to winter. The short sleeve is finished with a stylish turn-up, whereas the long sleeve features traditional shirt cuffs with a bound opening.Casual, cool and incredibly easy to wear, the Porto Jumpsuit is a holiday essential. An outfit-in-one, the loose-fitting bodice and trousers ensure you stay comfortable in the sun’s rays, whilst the elasticated channel shows off your waist without feeling restrictive. The bodice buttons to the waist make the Porto Jumpsuit easy to pull on and get going. The Ella Blouse is waist-length, perfect to pair with high waisted bottoms such as our Keira Shorts, Peggy Trousers or Lana Skirt, or to wear over a dress as a cover-up. If you’d like to lengthen it to suit your style, we have a handy Tutorial on Stitch School showing you how to do it!
