About this deal

The president steps down from the colonnade, turns to face the one-hundred-plus invited guests—members of his cabinet, assorted dignitaries, military brass in dress uniforms—and blasts them with his trademark grin. A career soldier before winning his first and only political campaign for president of the United States, Richard Monroe led a tank charge across the sands of Kuwait in Operation Desert Storm. Later, as a major general and commander of the First Armored Division, he drove the tyrant Saddam Hussein from Fortress Baghdad in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His obvious strengths, commanding presence, and unassailable integrity have been the perfect tonic for a nation torn by division and political polarization. Attached to the property is a large storage room, offering an excellent solution for keeping your belongings organised and easily accessible. Savage's journey was a roller coaster for someone who has to go through such trauma, accept his worth, and build a relationship with people outside of Torpedo Ink. The super twist revealed at the end of #1, Deep State, set a standard for the Hayley Chill debut and the least I expected was something similar, if not quite as dramatic, for #2, Savage Road. Nope. The final hour or so just fell into a mess of scattered, implausible events that left me totally perplexed and pissed off. So much for the high expectations I had for this series. The information on housing, people, culture, employment and education that is displayed about Savage Road, Plymouth, PL5 1BP is based on the last census performed in the UK in 2021.

The modern family bathroom is the epitome of convenience and style, boasting contemporary fixtures and a soothing atmosphere for relaxation and refreshment. Is that where… is that the place where he was killed?” Tammy asks. His death in combat occurred when she was barely walking. I mistakenly hit submit when I wanted to review the first. Had I known it was 2 parts/books I would have felt a little better. I still think Seychelle was way to wishy washy on whether she was going to try for their relationship not deciding until last 7 min of 1st book, and then in this book she still was uncertain. I realize what he needed before sex was a tremendous amount to consider, but get in or stay out. Their trials were way too drawn out, I wanted to fast forward & I’ve never even thought that with a Feehan book. I did really enjoy the dangerous storylines and had lol moments with the storylines involving the red hat ladies. His type of sex was way too much for me to enjoy reading much about it & I love hot erotic sex, even bdsm. Didn’t like Absinthe’s & Scarlets sex life either, making her crawl with a leash & lap milk from a dish on the floor. Give me bondage & spankings any day. Hope the next one still has hit sex just not so far out there. I understand how they grew up…but. The bartender retrieves his bottomless mug of heavily iced diet root beer from next to the cash register and clinks it with Sam’s. I had fun,” Hayley says over her shoulder, her right hand reaching for the door handle. “Thanks for cheering me up.”

Heading upstairs, you'll find two good-sized bedrooms, perfect for a family or for anyone who needs a spare room for guests or a home office. The bedrooms are comfortable and inviting, providing a peaceful retreat at the end of the day.Rodgers scans his computer screen for Monroe’s daily schedule, a detailed, minute-by-minute rundown available only to West Wing staffers. “Okay. First off, we—” A devotion to country, ma’am, and its Constitution. There’s never been a better articulation of democratic goals.”

March 28, @ 75%: Loving this audiobook! I notice that the narrator is reading a little less breathlessly in #2 compared to #1. In hindsight, this is a good thing, although I still think the #1 narration was most acceptable. This series from the beginning seemed to me that it promised a lot, I have always liked Christine Feehan's books but lately her way of writing has changed for the worse in my opinion, good ideas but poor execution. All the same but with different characters, and not only with this series in particular, her dark series, her ghostwalker, shadow rider..it's all the SAME. Her suggestion prompts another glare from the NSA director. The kind of money she is talking about would finance an extra battle group or stealth fighter battalion. No one in Washington with any power would let a rival incur that kind of windfall, not without a fight. When I first began to form the idea of Torpedo Ink, I knew it was going to be a very gritty, edgy and raw series, certainly not for everyone. In fact, at first, although I had to write the stories because I felt it was necessary, I doubted if I would ever publish them. Torpedo Ink come from a world where they grew interdependent to survive, hid their actions, kept secrets amongst themselves. Trusted no one outside them. Seychelle needed a complete connection with Savage, to feel trusted enough for him to give her all of him, for him to consider her and share with her all parts of his life. This caused conflict between TI and her. They are all learning, they’ve never had role models on how to be in a relationship. I think Seychelle awakened some of them, including Czar. Seychelle surprises Savage by giving him the love he never thought he deserved. She accepts him and understands him even better than he does himself. She sees the monster but knows he’s a part of him and understands the reason he is there. She accepts all parts of him love her and she can love all of him.Her boss doesn’t seem overly concerned. “Well, if Moscow really wants our attention, they’ll just have to turn off the lights at the Pentagon.” It was fun to watch them figure out who is behind the problems and how it all fit together. I like Savage and Seychelle even though I knew going into these books that Savage was a sadist and I might be reading scenes in this book and the last that would make me uncomfortable and let me tell you, this book made me uncomfortable. Much more so than the last book. Savage let's loose his monster a lot more in this book and the only reason I was ok with it was because Seychelle is all in, it's completely consensual between them and Savage really does love her. Hayley controls her emotions. Life as an army boxer taught her many lessons. A rudimentary one is the art of the counterpunch. “If I’m compromised, someone in the organization screwed up. Not me. Maybe if you figured out who broke, the threat could be neutralized.” Savage Road is the second and final book in Seychelle and Savage’s story. It took two books (Annihilation and Savage Road) to show the intense and complex story of Savin “Savage” Pajarin’s deeply wounded life. My rating for this book was heading for another 4-Stars: I Really Liked It, until the "denouement", and what a scrambled mess that proved to be! Now I am quite unsure of what rating to give this book*. I will post this review without a rating while I ponder further. In the meantime, I can say that, again, the audiobook narration was very good and benefited from a slight downward change in the pace of delivery by Marin Ireland, compared to #1.
