About this deal

Is he going to be able to prove that it is worth it to fall in love with him again? Not to mention, can he change the plans he has made with his life to allow her into his heart? Risky plays on the grumpy heroine angle that ARR so deftly crafts with our hero Blake. Yet again, we’re visiting Live Life Adventures, as heroine Everly is a new office manager to owner Blake- and that ARR spark hits fast, and grumpy but endearing Blake goes all alpha, but like a sweet, diet version. Everly has moved home with her young son, restarting her life as a single mother. The humor and charm that was present in the first book of this series is mostly absent. I liked the characters, but there was very little about the relationship that was risky. I didn’t dislike this story, but I didn’t find much here to recommend it either. Yet…I’m still interested in the stories for the last owner, and I’m REALLY interested in a story about Blake’s twin sister! But it seems the guy who’s about as friendly as a grizzly bear has a soft spot for her and her son…and the more time she spends with him, the more difficult it is to remember why giving in to the chemistry between them is a bad idea. Blake is one of those alphas who just dives on in and becomes a part of the heroine’s life, calling her “babe”, stepping in to help wherever possible, caring for little Sam, and dropping little moments of affection (hand brushes, soft kisses, etc.). It works for him and all of his gruffness, and Everly is happy to get swept away in it all, and I enjoyed watching these two fall easily and naturally into a relationship. They are open and honest with each other, they are so sweet together, and of course there’s sexy time and feels that come along with that.

Cash forgot what it was like to be loved until Lilly returned to him and his life. Now he remembers. And now, he will do all that he can to keep both the woman he loves and his kids. She bumps into Asher Mayson the only time that she is allowed during the hours the place is open. He seems like the perfect guy, until he opens up his mouth and starts assuming things. She wants nothing to do with him, but that is too bad because fate planned other things for her. Now Everly has one priority: to make a life for herself and her boy. And Blake, her sometimes infuriating but admittedly handsome employer at Live Life Adventures, doesn’t factor into her future as anything more than her boss.

The second book in the Adventures in Love series, this is a short and sweet read and a fast-moving romance between a single mum finding her feet, and a grumpy-yet-hurting hero. Then we have Everly. This woman gets the mother of the year award in the romance world! I loved the fact that she was a mother first, her son was her main priority. The way she cared for and doted on Sampson brought tears to my eyes. She was not only caring and nurturing, but she was also fiercely protective and independent when it came to raising her son. I loved every facet of her character. I don’t think any heroine to come in this series will top my love for Everly’s character.Everly’s attitude toward her baby daddy was different, but I wasn’t mad at the way she chose to handle things and the path she chose for her and her son. She’s a fierce and protective mama bear that always has the best interest of her child at the front of her mind. I hated the situation she gets put in, with certain people treating her worse than dirt, but I’m glad Blake was there to stand up for her and comfort her. Let’s start with Blake. I loved the fact that he was the grumpy personality to Everly’s sunshine personality. This is a man who was currently going through the motions of life with the weight of the world on his shoulder. The motions of work, family time, and sleep was on an endless loop. Until Everly and baby Sampson came into the picture. I honestly think the moments between Blake and Sampson were my absolute favorite. This man was made to be a father and from the moment Blake set eyes on Sam the fatherly vibes set in. Gah! There’s nothing sexier than a man who choses to step into the father role from the start, no questions asked. We get to know Blake a bit throughout the first book in this series and he doesn’t always come across as a supportive friend. I really appreciated the insight we get into Blake in this book, which helped me to understand part of the reason why he acted the way he did in the first book. Like Everly, I did have sympathy for him and the things he was going through that caused him pain. Even though it wasn't an excuse to act the way he did, it did immediately soften my feelings for him. Also I kept getting caught up in the author’s details about the babies in this book, she writes children under one years old like toddlers, drinking milk, eating bacon, pronouncing full, complicated words. It’s like she’s never met a baby before. This kid Sampson was 10 months old at the beginning and getting his first bottom teeth, drinking milk from the fridge, walking around and talking. All these things, unless exceptional, most kids don’t do so young (except for the bottom teeth, those come in at 4 months). And how was Margret’s daughter already almost a year old when she was in her third trimester of pregnancy when Cybil found out she was pregnant last book. If Cybil is just now giving birth (early it seemed with the emergency c-section) that would put Taylor at 7 months at most. But she’s running around and hugging and talking. Maybe they live in a different universe where baby development is on warp speed. This is a great writer, with a top notch ability to tell a great story with a strong male main character. Some do not feel that time is even moving when they read a story she has written, and three hours have actually gone by. Fans of the novel found themselves addicted to these brothers; as they like reading about them and do not need anything in the way of a remedy.

Blake has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Not only does he have a business to look after, but he also holding onto a secret that will affect the emotional state of his mother and sister. How do you tell your family the one person they depend on has cancer and it’s not treatable? Even if he could tell them, he has promised to keep his dad’s cancer a secret. So to say he has the weight of the world on his shoulders is an understatement. The only person he’s able to confide in is the new single mother Live Life Adventures just hired. While I liked Everly, it was really Sampson that stole the story for me where she was concerned. This author never forgot that he was as much a part of the story as the hero and heroine, which is something that often happens when children are included. I could feel every tiny fist, hear every gurgling laugh, and remembered my own babies’ weight against my chest through Sampson’s character. Chemistry wise, this one felt a bit more on the instalove side. Blake was a bit of a jerk in Rushed, so I enjoyed getting to see more nuances to him and just what makes him the grumpy creature he is- and he ends up being quite endearing. He doesn’t go full caveman alpha jerk like some ARR leading mean- he’s on the softer end of the alpha spectrum- but he’s still got all the growly edge we love in a ARR leading man. And Everly is a classic ARR heroine- likable, hardworking, and resilient. We also get the treat of seeing Blake bond with Everly’s son- and that was just adorable watching these three form their own little family unit. This is the final book in the Adventures in Love series, and it’s a sweet, fast-paced romance that finishes off the series really nicely. Until Lilly” is the third novel in the “Until” series and was released in the year 2014. Cash Mayson was given a tough decision to make. Either his unborn child or the love of his life; he knew what he had to do, no matter what the consequences would be. Lilly Donovan had to accept that Cash was not who she believed him to be and start raising her kid on her own. She had to prove how strong she was. This is a fast paced read with very low angst and high steam. While the storyline carries some conflict, I never felt anxious or antsy about how it was going to work out. I loved the secondary characters and the promise of more to come. Overall, this was a great read to just relax and enjoy the romantic process. Blake is part owner of Live Life Adventures with his two best friends. They are all ex-military, and started their company together, taking people on adventure tours through the Montana wilderness. We met Blake in the first book of the series, Rushed, where he came across as being broody and a bit of an a-hole, so I was really looking forward to getting to know him better.

Was, wenn alles anders kommt. One of Reynolds’ favorite authors is Kristen Ashley, and one thing she likes about her work, is that when she is reading a book by Ashley, she feels like a part of the entire story. She is able to feel the emotions Ashley’s books invoke in readers is something that makes Reynolds push to be an even better author. She enjoys all kinds of music, like: Drake, Sam Hunt, Adele, and Ed Sheeran. Her favorite candy is anything covered with dark chocolate. She also loves rum, wishes she could break dance, and is a super nerd.

Publication Order of Fluke My Life Books

I absolutely love any story that includes a grumbly alpha hero that goes soft with a baby and Blake fits my craving for such a character to perfection. With a little jealousy in the beginning and a whole lot of protectiveness I fell faster than Everly. But then again, all she was seeing was the grumpy side of his nature as he struggled with his preconceived notions and incorrect assumptions. Aurora Rose Reynolds is a best selling author (Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and New York Times). She has written the “Shooting Stars” series, the “Until Her” series, the “Until Him” series, the “Underground Kings” series, and the “Until” series. She is a navy brat and her husband once served in the United States Navy.
