Spark is one of two Dew flavors to be permanent after a couple of limited time runs, not counting nationwide DEWmocracies. The only other Dew flavor to achieve this was LiveWire. As mentioned earlier, like LiveWire, Spark became a permanent flavor after two limited edition releases. R. White's is a British brand of a carbonated lemonade, which is produced and sold in the United Kingdom by Britvic. Robert and Mary White produced the first R. On March 19th, 2020, in a r/MountainDew Reddit post, promotional imagery of Spark was again leaked by a user named "pm_me_your_last_pics," who had found them while taking a survey from PepsiCo. This post included confirmation that it would be exclusive to Speedway convenience gas station stores. Spark was officially released in Speedway convenience gas station stores in the United States on August 3rd, 2020, for a limited time, only in 20-ounce bottles. It remained in Speedway stores until October 2020. This flavor is potentially the second time a Dew flavor used to be exclusive to a store for years, then released permanently outside of the said store. The first instance was Baja Blast's release in Canada, where it is now a permanent flavor. The commercials were the brand's best known advertising campaign, and continued to air until 1984 and won a silver award at the 1974 International Advertising Festival. On September 23rd, 2023, it was leaked by Team Supernova that VooDEW (2024), alongside its Zero Sugar variant, would be releasing in Fall 2024 with a collaboration of a top candy brand. Additionally, Kroger-exclusive Thrashed Apple would be nationally discontinued alongside Major Melon, Spark at the end of 2023, alongside the entirety of the Mountain Dew Energy line in January of 2024 with the then-discovered Mountain Dew Energy (Liberty Brew) and Mountain Dew Energy (Baja Laguna Lemonade). This flavor is the first flavor exclusive to a franchise only for a limited time and not permanently like Frost Bite at Walmart.
On September 12th, 2021, redesigns of multiple renders as well as test bottles were discovered and reported on the Dew Drinker Discord. This discovery indicated that Spark and a zero sugar variant were getting re-released eventually as a permanent flavor.
R.White's Raspberry Lemonade
On July 21st, 2021, in a r/MountainDew Reddit post, a Reddit user named "aa1718293" posted about Spark being released in his local Speedway. This was the first confirmed sighting of Spark, with further sightings appearing after.
On March 7th, 2020, in a r/MountainDew Reddit post, Spark was first leaked by a PepsiCo employee named "MtDew1296," showing an image of a 20-ounce bottle of Spark which he received as a test sample bottle. The employee did not give a release date nor did they specific if the release would be exclusive to a particular store franchise.

On July 22nd, 2020, in a r/MountainDew Reddit post, a Reddit user named "TheQuietOne25" stated that their local PepsiCo bottler had revealed the release date of Spark to be August 3rd, 2020. Its tagline is " DEW with a Blast of Raspberry Lemonade Flavor with Other Natural Flavors." The Zero Sugar variant has the same tagline. It was officially released in Speedway convenience gas station stores in the United States in Early-August 2021, for a limited time, only in 20-ounce bottles. It was sold in Speedway stores until October 2021. Launched in 2005, new flavors of the Game Fuel line of Mountain Dew are often released in conjunction with a new video game's debut (via Mountain Dew Wiki). Citrus Cherry is one of the line's most popular flavors. It was first released in 2007 alongside the release of Xbox 360's newest hit, "Halo 3" (via Mountain Dew Wiki). The first run lasted for 12 weeks before it was discontinued.
