Piercings are awesome, but they are a responsibility. If you don’t follow your piercing aftercare routine you are putting your piercing, and your health, at risk. Avoid over cleaning. If your piercer recommends cleaning once a day, do not exceed. Extra cleanings can dry out or irritate the piercing. Step 2: Sea Salt Soaks The support of a tight cotton shirt or sports bra may provide protection and feel comfortable, especially for sleeping. If you do not have any problems with your new piercing and just want to keep it clean – make a weak solution. If a wound does not want to heal – make a strong one and apply it.Your aftercare routine also helps to make the healing process more comfortable. It speeds up the process so you can change your jewellery or get the next part of your curated ear piercing project sooner. As well, it helps you manage swelling and pain during the process itself.
Do not flip your jewellery up for the first two weeks as this can prolong healing time. If you must have your jewellery flipped up for school or work, tell your piercer during your appointment, they will flip it up for you, but you will need to wear it that way for at least 2 weeks. Intimate PiercingsIt is a universal cleaner and remedy. If you feel that your piercing causes more than a regular wound with a severe case of contamination and swelling, this soap is definitely your best choice.
Leave the dressing on for 24 hours then remove it. The dressing should be worn during the night for the first 7–10 nights. Do not undertake any form of tanning while the piercing is healing. Septum Piercings
