About this deal

Given its smaller size, this speaker doesn't get as loud as the PartyBox 310. It reproduces a little less low-bass, so you feel a touch less thump and rumble with bass-centric genres like EDM and hip-hop. That said, it's a small difference overall, and this party speaker still gets loud enough to fill larger and more open spaces with sound. Perhaps the biggest difference between the two devices comes down to their portability—while the 110 is smaller, it doesn't come with wheels or a telescopic handle for transport like the 310. Instead, you have to carry it with your hands. It's not ideal for everyone, but depending on your preferences, you may still find that this speaker is a better value overall.

Housed in an easily transportable and eye-catching enclosure, the SRS-XP700 Sony Bluetooth speaker can withstand some gentle splashes and sounds great indoors and out. The speaker can be placed upright or horizontally, while the onboard adaptive equalizer analyzes the speaker’s surroundings to provide consistent sound quality and characteristics wherever you are. Previously, the battery life in party speakers was not great. In recent years manufacturers have made significant improvements to Lithium-ion technology resulting in incredible battery life in portable Bluetooth speakers. We’ve put together some top tips to help not only get the most out of your party speakers but your party vibe too. Tip 1 – Make Sure it’s ChargedMicrophone inputs are also very common - giving you the freedom to speak or sing through the speakers. This is great for karaoke parties, and these speakers will also commonly have built-in effects like echo and delay, giving you the ability to customise the sound of your voice. The Turtlebox Gen 2 can run for around 25 hours before you’ll need to get hold of a charger, though if you’re conservative regarding listening levels, you should get a little more out of it. This speaker is astonishingly loud, so unless you’re hosting a large house party, you shouldn’t need to crank the volume too far. Most party speakers with built-in lights will operate on a sound-to-light basis - whereby the lighting will flash, pulse, or change colour in time with the audio being played through the speaker drivers. This results in a synchronised sound and light show that helps keep the mood of your party energetic and fun. Thanks to this feature and high-quality materials and DSP, the Ultimate Ears Hyperboom is one of our favorite-sounding portable Bluetooth speakers. Volume-wise, the Hyperboom can reach reasonably powerful output levels, enough to power a small to medium-sized house party, and the Hyperboom retains its punchy, full-bodied sound at all listening levels.

The JBL PartyBox 710 has an impressive bass presence that can rattle windows and organs. The sound profile on this speaker makes it a great option for an outdoor party speaker. It offers built-in lighting effects but requires an AC power connection. Loudest Party Speaker Like many JBL party speakers, this device has some added tools to bring excitement to your next celebration. Karaoke lovers can plug their microphones and guitars right into the speaker to jam out, and the JBL PartyBox app brings some additional effects to adjust the microphone's performance for the best possible sound. You can also customize the color and pattern of the RGB lights around the speaker in the app to set the mood on the dance floor. It can also get loud, easily filling larger, more open dance floors with sound.Overall, this is a really powerful speaker that's lots of fun. As for additional features, the Ultimate Ears Hyperboom is splash-proof, and the onboard battery can provide up to 24 hours of playtime. Considering its size, the Hyperboom is reasonably lightweight and can easily be taken wherever the party takes you. The waterproof feature protects the speaker, not taking it into new frontiers. Of course, the manufacturer will use pictures of the speaker in a pool or the surf. This is to sell more products. These are for marketing purposes, not usage recommendations. Try to keep the speakers out of the pool and DEFINITELY out of the sea. Tip 4 – Make More PlaylistsShaped like a cube, the Ultimate Ears Hyperboom can be set up anywhere and sounds great in all directions. The adaptive equalization function helps the UE Hyperboom speaker produce high-quality sound in any setting, analyzing its surroundings and tweaking the sound signature to suit the obstacles around it, eliminating unwanted reflections and resonances. Party speakers are versatile and can be used in a variety of settings beyond just parties, such as outdoor gatherings, tailgating events, picnics, and other social gatherings where high-quality audio is desired. They are typically designed to be durable and withstand the rigours of regular use, with rugged construction, efficient speaker drivers, and powerful built-in amplifiers. The sound quality here is the same as most JBL speakers; one can expect a tight low-end response with the option to boost the bass even further while the remaining frequency range retains clarity and detail. For parties, the JBL Boombox II is excellent at distributing sound in all directions and sounds pretty much the same no matter which angle you’re facing the speaker from. As for volume levels, the JBL Boombox II can reach some pretty impressive levels for its size while maintaining strong audio quality.

Speakers have limitations, and we tend to push our party speakers to the max. This can damage your speaker, which means the party is over early. Running a speaker at 80% is less likely to cause damage than running at 100% all night. If you’re having a big party, make sure you have some big speakers. Tip 3 – Waterproof Does Not Mean Invincible The Sony SRS-XP700 offers everything that we look for in a party speaker. The audio quality is excellent, as is the volume the XP700 can be cranked up to. The lighting effects are a nice addition and something that really makes it shine (no pun intended) as a party speaker. Do note that while the XP700 is portable, it’s a heavy and fairly large speaker that could arguably also fit in our large & loud selections. Best Bass Party Speaker Party speakers typically come with built-in amplifiers, multiple drivers, and often feature colourful LED lights, DJ-style effects, and other fun features to enhance the party vibe. They are typically portable and may come with built-in handles or wheels for easy transportation. Many party speakers also offer wireless connectivity options, such as Bluetooth, allowing you to connect your devices wirelessly and play music from your smartphone, tablet, or other devices without the need for additional cables. From one of the world’s leading amplifier designers, the Marshall Woburn III is the latest iteration of the Woburn model. Like the Woburn II, this speaker is not battery-powered and will require an AC power connection. The Marshall Woburn III still supports high-quality Bluetooth streaming, now using Bluetooth 5.2 for improved connection stability and range. We also find many of the same port connections as the Woburn II, though we now have an HDMI Arc connection port if you want to connect this speaker to your television. When it comes to sound, voices and lead instruments are clearly and accurately reproduced right out of the box, and there's a touch of extra rumble in the bass for genres like EDM and hip-hop. Thanks to its graphic EQ, this speaker is also customizable, and some presets are even available in its companion app. That said, compared to the similarly-priced JBL PartyBox 310, you don't get as many features. You won't find any inputs for guitars or microphones, and there aren't any lights to amp up the party. Still, you may not want these features in the first place, and the best portable partyspeaker remains a great choice for taking your music wherever you go.
