All the books in the series feature the central character in the form of Robert Hunter, who is described by the author as a Homicide Detective in Los Angeles. At the start of the book, it is shown that the dead body of a woman is found in an abandoned cottage in the National Forest in Los Angeles. I want to emphasize, as I said earlier, if you´re not up for horrifying murder methods, don´t read this book.
