About this deal

Where possible, the additional test will be hosted by schools or colleges. Where necessary, remote invigilation will be arranged at home. The additional test will be made available for printing just before the start of the test on 14 November. The additional test will be administered entirely by the University of Oxford.

The Mathematical Institute is marking the MAT test as normal. The majority of candidates experienced no disruption – we do not want to disadvantage those candidates. College tutors (who are responsible for shortlisting) will have access to a candidate’s UCAS form, the results of the MAT test taken on 19 October, and the results of the additional test, if taken, as well special consideration forms. Tutors will take all this information into consideration when deciding whether to shortlist a candidate . Oxford Mathematics will liaise closely with colleges to manage the situation. This is really important as it will help you get used to the questions you are required to attempt, how much time to allocate to each question and how to keep within the overall time limit. As PEMF can be used for a variety of conditions, its speed of effectiveness can be influenced by the condition being treated, and whether it is acute or chronic. The frequency of use can also influence how long the treatment takes to work. Patients who used PEMF stimulation for 9 hours or more per day healed 76 days earlier than patients who used PEMF stimulation for 3 hours or less per day. The human body is composed of trillions of cells. These cells provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions. Taking any type of test or exam can be stressful, but you can help build your confidence by doing some preparation ahead of time. You are likely to do better in the real test if you've had a chance to practise some sample or past papers, and got used to the format and timings of the admissions test you have to take.

Authorised schools, colleges and other test centres will be able to register candidates for Oxford’s admissions tests anytime between 1 September and 29 September. The MAT aims to test the depth of mathematical understanding of a student in the fourth term of their A-levels (or equivalent) rather than a breadth of knowledge. It is set with the aim of being approachable by all students, including those without Further Mathematics A-level, and those from other educational systems (e.g. Baccalaureate and Scottish Highers). For other treatments, such as bone healing, PEMF may take longer to work, but will definitely speed up the healing of bone fractures. The following report provides a summaryof theadmissions process for the subjects of Mathematics, Mathematics and Statistics, Mathematicsand Philosophy, Computer Scienceand Mathematics andComputer Science: We are encouraging all affected test centres (or candidates, if your test centre is unavailable) to complete the special considerations form. Watch the Mathematics department's MAT livestream. This year's livestream runs from early August until November, but you can also access recordings of previous events. You need to take the test at a registered test centre. Test centres (e.g. schools or colleges) can register here.

On the 3 November, we will send out invitations for the additional test to all candidates who submitted a special consideration form, or who are identified as having experienced disruption, as well as to test centres where that disruption took place. We recognise that some candidates may not have access to information via schools or centres - we are doing all we can to identify them. The Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT) is a subject-specific admissions test, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes and sat under timed conditions. The MAT is a hybrid test - with computer-based questions and a paper answer booklet. You will need to take this test at an authorised test centre which, in most cases, will be your school or college. All applicants taking this test will be able to practise by taking the 2022 past paper (or equivalent) as a hybrid test in advance of your test day. Please note that as the structure of this test has not changed, all the existing resources and past papers available here are still valuable preparation for you and we strongly recommend exploring these. Applicants for Computer Science or for Computer Science and Philosophy will attempt questions 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 for MAT 2023. There will no longer be a question 7. Don't worry if you find the past or specimen papers very difficult - they're supposed to be!All our tests are designed to stretch you further than you have been stretched before – most candidates will find them really hard. Where possible, we would like the additional test to be hosted by schools or colleges; where necessary, remote invigilation will be arranged at home. The additional test will be made available to test centres (or candidates taking the test at home) for printing just before the start of the test on 14 November. The additional test will be administered entirely by the University.

The mathematical content of the MAT, in terms of the syllabus and the format of the test, is unchanged for 2023. It is not possible to re-sit a test. If you feel you did badly due to extenuating circumstances, for example: if you were ill on the day of the test, your test centre can submit a special considerations form for you; or if there was some form of disruption at the test centre you can submit the form yourself. Application forms must be received within 5 days of the test date. Our admissions tests are an important part of our assessment process so please ensure your school, college or other test centre registers you for your test (or tests) by 29 September.

Tired or damaged cells receive an electromagnetic wave; which boosts circulation, oxygenation and hydration and helps remove toxins from the cells. The invitation will ask candidates to complete a simple form to register for the optional additional test by noon on Friday 10 November. The test will take place on Tuesday 14 November at 09:00 GMT. These reports provide summaries of theadmissions process for the subjects of Mathematics, Mathematics and Statistics, Mathematicsand Philosophy and Mathematics and Computer Science:Once again, we apologise for all the disruption. We are doing all we can to make sure all candidates have an opportunity to display their full potential, and no one is disadvantaged. If for any reason your school or college cannot apply for centre authorisation or you are no longer in education, please read the information below on taking your test at an open centre.
