About this deal

Montgomery Bonbon is a brilliant creation. Bonnie Montgomery is just as good, and between them they're about three people's worth of amazing, with Mongomery's vaguely-Poirot inpsired protrayal and Bonnie's calm consideration and ability to connect the dots at a moment's notice. Granda Banks, of course, makes a wonderful third part of this duo, ready to help out or cover for Bonnie or give her the sage advice she needs. Or hog all the lemon sherberts. It's really a toss up! Any information you provide will only be used for the reasons specified and it will not be shared with any third party without your consent, unless required by law. We are sorry but the museum is not wheelchair accessible but it is possible that access could be possible for small wheelchairs through the ground floor. Please let us know your requirements. Can Bonnie, I mean Monsieur Bonbon and Grampa Banks work out what happened and find the guilty party? I liked the structure of this book - it reminded me of The Bolds in its layout, with the sketchy drawings and funny narrative. It also has a lot of heart, largely owing to Grandpa, but also because Bonnie is a really likeable main character - quite often young detectives tend to be irritating and entitled but Bonnie wasn't at all.

Engaging and 'safe' first detective story (if yours hasn't read Horowitz's Diamond Brothers series yet - that should be next). It is an unbreakable law of the universe that brilliant detectives are always present when mysterious murders are committed.”

I’m hugely fond of a young detective, solving crimes in an adult world and often overthrowing those in authority tasked to investigate. They’re so compelling and they really have you rooting for the main character and Bonnie was definitely one you could get behind. I loved the sound of her from the get go and was fully embroiled in her detective business. For any readers who LOVE whodunnits, Montgomery Bonbon is the book to read! The funniest detectives in children's fiction – I loved it so much. Put on your fake moustaches and join the murdery fun! Bonnie Montgomery is on a trip to the Hornville Museum of Natural History and Suchlike with Grampa Banks when suddenly all the lights go out and a terrible scream is heard from the floor above.Does your group have any previous knowledge of the Museum or the local area? The writing is very accessible to students and the illustration is adorable. Sometimes detective stories for children may come across as being a bit bland, but this one is definitely a fun-filled read. A brilliantly funny young murder mystery from a rising stand-up comedian, podcaster and filmmaker - and exciting new talent in children's fiction. Bonnie Montgomery loves solving crimes. She and her granddad have solved many together in the past (even if the police think of them more as troublesome elements), and manage to get people to talk more than they might as Bonnie becomes Montgomery Bonbon, a short but astute European detective with her own senior assistant.
