Layla is a great FMC and I could relate to her on some levels. She loves to bake and her bake shop is her whole passion. With Caleb on the other hand, I was a bit disappointed. Having read the previous two books in the series (which I loved) I expected a good, spicy police romance. Instead he suddenly changes his occupation from police officer to teacher in this book. At that without having any education or degree to be a teacher or anythi Spoilers: turns out it's nothing, he's just had the wrong girls. Are we surprised? No. It's adorable. And with this arrangement, they both feel free to be as open and honest with each other as I'm sure every couple strives to be. There has to be something in the water in Inglewild (I've said this before). It seems to be something that brings together people who are right for each other but this something also seems to scramble and warp their communications skills. This time the silly couple is made up of Layla and Caleb. After saving Layla from a bad date, Caleb makes Layla a proposition: they will 'date' for one month! He will renew her belief in men and dating and she will rate his dating skills. You would ask why the f are they not a couple and how come in NINE YEARS they haven’t slept together yet. Yeah, I asked that too. Nobody answered 🤷🏻‍♀️sunshine x sunshine ships are ♡so cute♡ please take care of them. layla and caleb are so perfect together, both laugh and smile at each other, at everything, all the time. they're so good and they fit together SO WELL. like im so in love that caleb is so commited from the get-go. The characterization is perfect, the attraction and chemistry are palpable, and the lovemaking scenes show how much the couple cares for each other.

This was like sunshine-sunshine trope or perky baker-bashful guy trope or something of the sort! I think you know what I mean! So. Cute. Will Stella's best friend, Luka Peters, be able to save Stella from getting her application rejected? Will Stella fall into a relationship with her best friend? Will Stella win the contest? What will happen to the farm's future if she fails in her endeavor? The author tries to discuss all these topics in this book.
