MAGICWHEELS ® can be adapted to fit most manual wheelchairs. We offer 10 different handrim options which allow for use on both 2 and 4 speed models. Each wheel has an easy-to-use shifting mechanism that allows users to switch gears with minimal effort. These dual handrims offer several advantages over the single 21" handrims usually found on wheelchairs. By moving your hand from the outer handrim to the inner handrim when rolling, the user has a 2nd (faster) gear. There is also the advantage of using the vinyl on the inner handrim while pushing then switching to the aluminum outer handrim to avoid the burn of vinyl while stopping. The spinner in the middle takes as many entries you have on the left and fits them into different colored pies in the middle. There is a button just above it, to the right that says “Type 2” by default. This denotes a series of colors. So, you have a choice of your visuals, you can select from between any 4 color combinations you want. Having to choose between multiple items can be a drag and often boring, adding a little color might be exactly what you need to add some life to the process.
