Parent tester Catherine tested the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud set with her baby, using both the parent unit and Hubble Connected app during daytime naps and overnight periods of sleep. Catherine did find that the Hubble lost local connection a couple of times, but was generally reliable. How long does the battery last? MONITOR YOUR CHILD IN HD VIDEO: The HD camera unit gives parents a live video feed of their baby on their smartphone via the HubbleClub app and features a built-in 7-color night light, preloaded lullabies, soothing sounds, and bedtime stories, as well as a room temperature sensor to ensure that baby feels safe and comfortable.
Update: After writing this review, a customer service manager reached out to us and was able to get a replacement unit sent. They then asked us to remove this review completely. I will not entire remove it, but I'll update to give 3 stars instead of two and soften the language too. Hubble Connected products are made by a company located in Bangalore, India (Hubble Connected India Pvt ltd.), which manufactures products in an ISO27001:2013 certified factory. We didn't really like how the tripod screw hole is off-centered, making the included legs a little off-balance, but we still appreciate the concept! In the above photo, you can also see that there is a small menu bar at the bottom of the screen. When you swipe up at the bottom center, a low profile menu will pop up onto the screen. Here is a photo of the menu at the bottom of the screen: Press the MENU button or swipe up from the bottom of the screen for touch screen models and the menu bar will pop up.Overall, the camera worked very well during both day and night conditions. It moved smoothly and quietly to tilt/pan. I have attached the reset instructions below for anyone who needs them since getting a response is a pain in the butt.
Press the UP button or DOWN button or touch the + button on touch screen models to select add and press the OK button to confirm. Once you select baby monitoring, you will need to select which specific baby monitor you're connecting, and then the app will display a QR code. Third, this camera has true remote tilt and pan. This means the actual camera angle changes, rather than a relatively ineffective optical panning. Our parent tested found the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud worked well. Whilst the parent unit is fairly basic it has all the key information she needed, with an intuitive interface that is easy to use. Does the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud have any extra features? Immediately after previous step, please press and hold the PAIR button on the bottom or side of the Baby Unit until the pairing tone is heard. The unit will beep and the image from the camera will appear.Our test nursery gets a bit too much natural light for us to do a full darkness test, so we tested the night vision in one of our older children's bedrooms. It looks great, very similar to most other baby monitors we've tested, including the Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro and the Nanit: Full disclosure: Binatone North America, Inc., the manufacturer of the Hubble Connected devices, was generous enough to provide us with three free samples for testing.
