About this deal

If a small hazer doesn’t cut it, you’ve got a couple of options. The first is that, if you have the problem of a “hazeless spot” on one side of the stage or another that you can’t get rid of, you can go ahead and get a second small hazer.

This haze is made by heating up a water based fluid and shooting it through a nozzle out of the machine. Compared to oil-based hazers, these units have to heat up before they are ready to go, and they also have a cool-down process where they occasionally seep out small clouds of haze. There is no comparison between Le Maitre’s haze and oil-based hazers which can leave a messy, slippery residue on sets, resulting in health and safety risks, as well as leaving deposits on equipment lenses, causing damage. Never, ever disable your fire alarms or turn them to silent without the blessing of your fire department. This is how people die every year and tragedies happen. Safe: There is no comparison between Le Maitre’s haze and oil-based hazers which can leave a messy, slippery residue on sets, resulting in health and safety risks, as well as leaving deposits on equipment lenses, causing damage. Equally Le Maitre’s sugarbased haze solution results in no side effects. By comparison, alternative systems using triethylene glycol based hazer have been found to cause respiratory, nasal, throat and vocal irritation.

More Haze: Furthermore Le Maitre’s Haze Fluidis approximately90% active ingredient, compared to competitive haze formulas which are essentially smoke fluids and only 5-10% active ingredient and90-95% water. For the same volume offluid used,Le Maitre's haze machines actually output90% morehaze! Smaller volumes of haze can also be generated from aerosol canisters containing mineral oil under pressure. Although to the density of haze generated and the volume of space that can be filled is significantly smaller than that of a haze machine, aerosol canisters have the advantages of portability, no requirements for electricity and finer control over the volume of haze generated. When it comes to sizing your hazer, you generally have a few choices. Water-based hazers tend to come in small or large sizes, and oil-based hazers are typically just big. PureHaze fluid is used in much smaller proportions to smoke fluid (used in some competitive haze machines),thus giving the benefit of atmosphere without the large consumable cost. So, for today, we’re going to focus on haze – breaking it up between water-based and oil-based because they are the 2 most common types of hazers out there.

Many localities will help you to work with you alarm company to turn your alarms to silent, allowing a staff member to monitor the alarms, and make sure there are no real fires. Some venues will allow you to use haze without shutting off the alarms because they know it won’t cause problems. Oil based hazers make that lovely haze that is uniform, not cloudy, and hangs nearly forever. It is the choice of professionals for nearly all music tours, special events and theater. Not to mention it is also nicer with fire alarm systems as well (more on that below). vs Competitive Haze Machines & Fluids Le Maitre's Haze Fluid as already mentionedgivesnearly 100% effective haze in the air whereas alternativehaze/smoke machines put just10% of haze in the air at best due to their very diluted haze fluids.Subsequently their high content water based haze has to be pumped out in far greater quantities to achieve the same result thus greatly putting up the cost of consumables. Equally Le Maitre’s sugarbased haze solution results in no side effects. By comparison, alternative systems using triethylene glycol based hazer have been found to cause respiratory, nasal, throat and vocal irritation. Le Maitre's PureHaze Fluid as already mentionedgivesnearly 100% effective haze in the air whereas alternativehaze/smoke machines put just10% of haze in the air at best due to their very diluted haze fluids.Subsequently their high content water based haze has to be pumped out in far greater quantities to achieve the same result thus greatly putting up the cost of consumables.

They are more expensive than the other types, but use significantly less fluids (and not much CO2) while running. This often makes them the most economical long-term choice for anyone who runs haze often, in larger spaces (over around 500 seats). Hazer Direction and ControlPump spray haze machines use electricity or compressed CO 2 to power a spray pump connected to a mixing valve, which draws in and atomizes the fluid. So although smokefluid may appear five times cheaper per litre, it actually costs 16 to 18 times as much per hour of output! A huge difference Le Maitre’s concentrated sugar based solution combined with the patented machines produces an incredible haze with a terrifically long hang time. Alternative machines on the market tend to use hazers which are essentially smoke machines with fans, and consequently have to use much lower concentrated haze solutions. Experiment with the placement of your hazer and see how the AC system moves your haze around. Usually, you can find a great spot to place your hazer that works with your AC system to distribute the atmosphere evenly. 🙂
