Ok, after an entire afternoon trying to clear the Giants' Gravepost area (the one before the Fire Giant boss on the Mountaintops of the Giants) and malding over the ****ing ginormous ass fingercreepers (not the M-sized one, I'm not exaggerating, it's the ****ing XXL ones), I finally found a way to deal with them as melee: Many Native American cultures have tales of supernatural coyotes, and the Coyote King fits perfectly with the theme of the series. A humanoid creature not unlike a Sasquatch but with coyote canid features on an unnaturally large human upright figure.

Normally, for something to increase a Monster's happiness, the two objects must be placed side by side. However, purchasing a Unity Tree from the Market (available at level 16) will allow decorations and monsters to be placed anywhere on an island, including into Storage or a Hotel, without affecting the Monster's happiness level. My boys made all kinds of monsters from ghosts, to monsters with wings or horns or loads of legs. You could look through the books for more inspiration on different kinds of monsters too.
