I figured coming into this review that Evan Williams Bottled in Bond wasn’t going to catch me off guard with amazing levels of complexity or flavors. Sure enough, what I found was a no-nonsense bottle that delivered an amped-up experience from the regular Evan Williams Small Batch 1783 bottle. Take a close look at the Bourbon in your Glass and you’ll notice “distinctive flavor notes” like caramel, cold brew coffee, dark chocolate, and citrus. I think the nose is a lot more inviting in comparison to their Single Barrel counterpart which can be a bit sharp from the rye. Two of the most popular American bourbons to choose from are Four Roses and Evan Williams. Both brands have great heritage and their famous bourbon has been enjoyed for generations. Evan Williams Single Barrel is a selected single barrel prepared by Evan Williams Master Distillers.
Chocolate is also a great option to pair with the Evan Williams Bourbon. Try pairing a dark chocolate bar with a glass of whiskey for a decadent and sweet treat. Evan Williams Bourbon is made from a mash bill of 10% malted barley, 12% rye, and 78% corn. It is known for using local ingredients that they machinery milled and distilled. The standard Evan Williams has 43% ABV, 86 proof. It has a melon, spicy cinnamon aroma and a delicate and warming finish. The cinnamon flavor is not overwhelming and has the right flavor balance. Evan Williams 100 Proof Bottled in Bond is identified by its white-label and stronger version of the classic bourbon expression. Here’s another representative of Heaven Hill’s. The bottle design is great, and the branding of the whiskey is definitely on point with a very zen-like aesthetic.
