It’s not massively obvious, and you really have to be glued to the screen to notice it – but it is there. I would say though – one could “forgive” this due to the age of the material. Everyone has different views on the different eras and that is the beauty of Doctor Who I personally loved how this one started, The Eleventh Hour and Beast Below encapsulated the spirit of the original show. Amy’s Choice and Vincent and the Doctor also were strong efforts. The series finale and everything which followed was too much for me and I personally felt Matt Smith started to ham up the performance far too much. The Calpadi ones were a little more refined but Moffat’s role as a show runner and putting trying to be too clever with time travel and paradoxes got massively in the way of classic story telling. Alongside many human companions, the Doctor travels throughout time and space combating all manner of threats, both terrestrial and extra-terrestrial. Many of these threats have become classic villains in the world of pop culture, including the Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, and more.
